One thing I don't understand is "TT finishes the game faster" when does the game end to you?? For most people it isn't the credit sequence, that's when the game really starts and everything is finally open to you. Is it when you deck out your home? Get 5 stars? Get best friend status with your entire island? My point is that just like time travelling allows you to experience the game at your own pace, you control the end goal. If you stopped playing because you couldn't find anything to do, it isn't because time travelling shortened the lifespan of your game, but because you didn't know where your endgoal was. This game is incredibly open ended, so you can really pick and choose where to end, it's all about setting goals and the satisfaction of completing them, if you complete every goal you had why are you unsatisfied? Did you not set enough goals for yourself?
@sanshuri4 жыл бұрын
Also, people who think time travelling ruins an accomplishment or something... Not playing for 6 hours isn't an accomplishment. Waiting for a building to be crafted isn't an accomplishment... I think the reason people keep getting mad at time travellers is because they compare their island with other islands too much. If you time travel you get things faster, which results into you being ahead and have more stuff than they do, getting the better villagers faster ect. Animal Crossing is such a unique game when it comes to pase. It's what's so beautiful about the game imo. It teaches people to slow down, to appreciate the little things and be in the moment. Heck in the older games it even used to be Resetti's job to tell you not to reset because you had to accept whatever you did that day. But we're so used to living in a world that is so fast, with such high expectations, everything has to be bigger and better all the time. It's understandable people start to compare more. It's really a shame tho. Everyone should just enjoy the game for themselves and not worry so much about other people. Wether you time travel or not.

"You time travel in X fashion, so duping should be ok," where X is something that is equally exploitive, is a somewhat valid statement, but "You time travel for any reason at all, why not just duplicate stuff," is not. The reason why the villagers you're more friendly with leave is because they all kind of have a gage of friendship that gets filled after you talk to that specific villager a lot. That's why your favorite villagers tend to leave while the ones you ignore stick around for longer.

Pro time travel tip if you don't want to travel in one day increments; time travel to 4:58 AM of the same day you are in, get the morning announcements, and boom, everything on the island is reset, and this does count for flower growth, I have tested it extensively. The game registers this as a new day, so you will get new fossil spawns, weed, rock and tree branch spawns and message in a bottle spawns. Also, if you have any special characters such as gulliver, celeste or Redd, this keeps the character in loop on your island and your are able to acquire new items each time. Hope this helps!

I wish more people would be more open like this to other people’s styles of playing. Someone time traveling has no effect on your own game. For me personally, I time travel as little as possible. The only things I ever really do are set my clock backwards, because I usually play later in the day, and sometimes go back if I miss a day so I don’t miss an important traveler. I like going backwards, but not forwards. The only time I ever went forwards was to move a few houses faster, lol

time travel is fine, but the one thing i dont like is when people spoil things on twitter/show off islands and dont state if the time travelled. most people play at a slow pace, so at least for them i think its better to refrain from spoiling seasons/shops and stuff.
@heatherjohnson29074 жыл бұрын

@pinetree17514 жыл бұрын
There are some that show off with a poor attitude, yes, but people should understand that not every Time Traveler who share their islands meant to make people feel "inferior". However, the seasonal thing you mentioned should not matter. Why? It's gonna be useless in around next month (June). In just two season changes, we will all eventually know what happens in all 4 seasons because the game has both the northern hemisphere and southern hemisphere settings. Rn, North has spring (including sakura) and summer while the South has autumn and winter. Unless we demand everyone to spoiler tag everything, the seasonal things won't exactly be a surprise anymore. A lot of people from the south have mostly unintentionally showed people from the north things like mushrooms and DIYS. Same with the North showing the South the beauty of the Sakura seasons and whatnot. The same thing will happen in June as the North will share Summer stuff in the internet while the south will share winter stuff. Does this make sense? So my opinion is- don't be too upset about the seasons not being a surpise anytime soon. Unless, ofc, you are willing to avoid social media next month. Do not worry about events like Christmas or Halloween tho. Those events have not yet been patched so they will come when the event comes irl. No TTer should be able to accidentally spoil those. I hope this makes sense lmao. I am a bumbling idiot. Have a nice day. EDIT: spelling
@SerpongeDash4 жыл бұрын
@@pinetree1751 the point is that seasonal stuff could have been a surprise when the season actually come but it's been spoiled before that even happened, I don't see how that shouldn't matter Edit: maybe I read what you said wrong but the thing I don't like is being spoiled items from seasons that haven't happened yet nowhere in the world and sadly that happens quite a lot, I'm thankful for the updates now that I see how everything coded in the game was already known a few days in

I don’t time travel because I lose interest very quickly when I run out of “goals” in a game like achieving 5 stars/collecting all the flower hybrids/collecting all fish and bugs, etc. Some people are happy decorating and redecorating, but I know I’ll completely lose interest once i’ve achieved those goals. So, I’m enjoying taking the game slowly and savoring it, because I’ve been looking forward to this game for a long time.

Being mostly a time traveller, there are merits to getting a lot of tasks done just as you’ve said. This time around, there isn’t much backlash asides from the beware of rotting turnips and some of your in game progress may be lost if you turn back in time. For example, if you planned to have a camper move into your island and someone getting ready to move out. Then you time traveled back, that event didn’t happen at all. It happened to me in game Great vid Kora; keep them AC vids coming!

@m a r y ! After you invite someone to replace a previous villager you need to play daily (or travel forward a day at a time) until your new villager is settled; if you travel back or skip a day (be it by travelling forward two days at a time or by simply not playing for a day) you could be stuck with a villager in the wrong house, and the only way to fix this is to kick that villager and invite him/her again.

So I paid my price for travelling, but in the end I think it was worth it since it took me the better part of the month to get things sorted (I have horrible spacial awareness and, protip, flowers dont count as obstacles. It was brutal having a "Blue Rose Breeding" station while trying to move rocks). That is one part of the game I wish we could choose - where exactly we want rocks. We can already pick up and move trees, why not rocks?

More information about if you time travel: Your villiager will wake up with messy hair that they'll tidy it up back to the hairstyle they had before. Villagers only move out if they have a bubble above their head and you talk to them and choosing if they move out or not, meaning they'll NOT move out automatically like in new leaf. If you time travel too far then you may get one of the seasonal recipes early before the actual season comes. Also you can participate in new years early but you may feel bad for the choice you made since some of the NPCs that host some of the events are not in the game yet.

@mCreecher91 Жыл бұрын
I’ve time traveled since the first animal crossing. To me it feels like a free to play game if I don’t. Like having to wait real time for a building to be built, etc. When NH first came out during the pandemic and everyone was playing, it was fun for me to let time go normally and kind of experience the game along with everyone. But pretty quickly I got bored of spending an hour every day doing what I could and then having nothing let to do. I wanted more! So I started changing the clock and never looked back. Like you said, who cares how anyone else wants to play? If you’re having fun with your game, that’s what matters. Good video as always❤

I time travel when I would otherwise need to adjust my sleep... so I'll travel to another _time,_ but not another _day._ I do not wake up early for a video game. Period. I've found that setting my game to be 2 hours before the real-life time is good enough for me. HOWEVER, if some villagers don't _get the damn hint,_ I can see myself time traveling a lot in the near future.

I think people need to stop bashing time travel. Look, we get it. You’re such an amazing person because you play the game your way. But people don’t care if you like waiting an extra 24 hours for a new shop. If I want to time travel, I can time travel. Waiting for the game like it’s farming simulator is frustrating. I usually Timeskip a day or 2 ahead so I can open shops and get new residents quicker. Hell, if somebody time skips to 2028, let them. It’s none of your business and it’s not like you have to skip with them. In general, time skipping is fine so leave them alone. You shit lord.

That’s fine, just don’t trade your time traveled items to other players, as it ruins their way of play

I had to time travel since I was dumb enough to destroy all the rocks and still have to get 30 iron nuggets.

I admit, I am a time traveler. But so what it won’t really affect the way u play so why yell at people “WHAT HOW DARE YOU TIME TRAVEL THATS NOT THE WAY I PLAY SO THEREFORE YOU ARE PLAYING WRONG!” But in the end people that play this game just try to find a way to play that makes them happy. So I do agree with this video

I only plan to time travel in Animal Crossing on Christmas because that's when I get my switch and only have a week to play before school starts again. I'd like to take it back a week so everything is set up and I can grind without having to worry about not having a house to store things or not having the museum.
