It’s faster if you don’t close the game. Just save it and wait for it to say, “Save Completed” or whatever then press home on your controller and change the date and time. Go back to Animal Crossing and just hit A and your game will load to the date/time you just set! It’s a lot faster than waiting for the game to load from the start.

yeah i do this but when you want to go back to the real time sometimes you have to close the game completely or it just doesn’t go back to normal

Yup, always close out the game then change time. It works sometimes by not closing the game but I always save and close first to make sure nothing gets messed up

I know this is old but I find that if you press the home button while the circle is closing after choosing to save and exit, then it will work. It's never not worked for me before.

I am late for this but I have time-traveled in the game a lot, since Wild World. I did it in City Folk & New Leaf. Whenever I first saw this video awhile ago it made me happy because of so many angry people of time-traveling. I time-travel a lot to get things mostly fossils because I love to dig them up and collect as many as possible. Yeah! You can do exactly as you said! Just Time Travel one day forward after Tom Nook says your house will take a day to be built. Then load the game up and your houe will be built! Then just save and jump back to the original date after that. The only thing you have to be careful about is the villagers moving in or out

yeah! Just set the bridge down, pay the little guy the money and you can time travel 1 day ahead after the bridge has been paid for and login. After that, you'll have the new bridge built. Save and exit the game, then reset your time.

Yep you sure can! You can also go forward to the cherry blossom season in 2021, 2022, etc! Although Nintendo is time locking any new event stuff, the cherry blossom things should still be there. Let’s stay away from 2020 😂

Hey so I'm a bit nitpicky about the Nintendo switch clock and having my game synced to the real day and time so is it possible to time travel and then time travel back for the same effects? I haven't tried time traveling but my working theory is that time traveling forward then back would count as two days. Is that right?

No. If you TT forward 1 day then backwards to the present the days do not double and everything will go back to exactly how it was without you losing your AC stuff 4:06

Yep! Any open plots have until the next day before mr nook does it for you! So if you are hunting villagers then put down a house plot and go hunting!

Usually I’d you time travel with an open house the open house will get taken by a random villager. And also I’d the villager is in the process of moving in or out you will only want to time travel one day forward or backward at a time to avoid glitches

Yep you can time travel all around, back and forth, as far in the future and past as you want and as many times as you want... then when you are ready you can just set the time to where you want it. As a matter of fact, you could live in the winter months a while and the. Switch to summer months for a while and then back to normal time after that. It really won’t hurt a thing!

Yes! You can time travel around AFTER You have sold your turnips. Never time travel with turnips. If you TT backwards they immediately spoil. If you TT too far they spoil. Thats really cool that you commented about the two bottles! I was really curious if I was alone here! So, the only thing you need to watch out for would be: 1. Don't have turnips, 2. Don't have villagers in the moving in or moving out process. Other than that, go for it! just straight to the time you want to go to, hang there for real world days if you want! and then jump back when ready. It will not mess up your game because the game just sees you time traveling as "the next day" so it's no big deal. PS Don't forget to subscribe and come over to my discord server and hang out! When you skip forward to sayy finish a bridge or gather resources do you then just continue to go about your day in the future and stay in that time or do you always go back to the 'original' day after you're 'finished' with whatever you wanted to do. And when you go Farr into the future for intrest money can you just go back to the 'original' day without anything changing on your island? Thanks peeps :)) I might wanna do this :)

hey! so about a day ago i got marina from somebody, and i had to time travel a day to do so (so my villager kyle would move out.) i don't like time travelling, so this was the first time i did so. i'm planning on going back to the current day in about 2 days when marina successfully cleaned up and put her items in her house. i do a bunch of stuff on nookazon, so on the first day she moves in and is ready to have convos/leave the house, i want to be able to do said stuff on nookazon, like trading and etc. i want to time travel back to the current day where it's the first day marina has all her stuff in her house ready. my question is; when i'm on the second day of marina's stuff ready and she's out and about and stuff, when i time travel back to my current day, would i still have all the stuff that i got from trading and stuff on that day? would i have to time my time traveling?

Yep you can TT back when your ready and everything will be saved. Just make sure the villagers are all set and then save and close your game. Change the time and open it back up. You’ll be good to go!

Hey! You will be fine as long as you time travel one day at a time, load the game, save and time travel again. It’s only if you go backwards or more than 1 day that it glitches

Yep! If you TT and progress in the game with buildings abs villagers and then travel back to current time it’ll all be saved and you’ll be good to go from there!

Say I want to move my villagers houses out the way to refurbish and I don't want to wait till tomorrow for them to have moved. If I move it, skip to next day, move the next, skip forward again then go back to the original day, is that how it works? Sorry for repeat question I just want to make sure!

So, for this, remember that after you say yes to the villager who’s asking to leave you have to wait the next day for them to pack their stuff and then the next day for the plot to be open. In total, it takes two days for you to be able to find a new villager before someone random is put. I hope I explained it well, sorry if I didn’t.

I have a question!! I tested time travelling as I forgot to buy something in books cranny the day before and before I time traveled Sherb gave me a reaction and then because I time traveled I now don’t have that reaction now can I get it back somehow?

It sounds like when you time travelled you forgot to save the game? If so, you'll end up getting one of your villagers very soon to give you a reaction to you again however I'm not sure if it'll be the same exact reaction. You'll get one soon though!

I ended up getting a different reaction when I came back to the right day, it was from a normal villager (the scared reaction) so my thoughts is, is that the game randomly picks a villager to give you a reaction you don’t have yet so Sherb will most likely give it to me again soon :) (The weird part is everything else was saved! Must of just been a glitch)

So, I have Violet and I wanted to kick her out and I time traveled till’ she asked and I skipped till she moved, and then I got another villager. So I’m wondering, is it okay if I move back to my original day and if so, will Violet be kicked out and my new villager moved in?

Yes you can def go back. The game just sees it as the start of a new day regardless if you go back or forward and so all your progress you’ve made and the new villager would stay
