Make sure you go to Cape Flattery (NW most tip of the lower 48). Bella and I did it a couple years ago when we went to Olympic NP. It was by far my fav spot up there!! Safe travels, my friends ❤️

It's crazy how 5 people (that I follow) , myself, and a Canadian guy I met in Skagway all got covid in Alaska during the same couple months. It was a Hotspot for it.

Yeah! It seems like everyone got it all at once

Portland is full of cool weird things, brew pubs, the International Rose Test Garden, Mt. Hood, lots of fun beach towns on the Oregon Coast. Deep sea fishing and whale watching.

Wow... bears and bald eagles all in the same locality... does it get any better than that? It's definitely Megan: 0, Matt: 1 for the elevator pitch and those pretzels at the end looked absolutely AMAZING! Pizza pretzel FTW.

Oh the pizza pretzel was bomb! And you’re right, matt took this one lol!

I loved both of u guys trying to narrate the scenes. (Like time-challenge) That was so funn hahaha. Btw. You guys should hang with “rise & Alpine”. You guys will make great friends haha.

I agree with you. I saw 0 bears in alaska until the very last alaska town of Hyder (which I wasn't even planning on going to). Even in Haines I saw 0. I was just too early. Glad you guys got there a little later to see them.
@Meghanandmatt2 жыл бұрын
Yeah we’re glad we went to Haines! Seeing all those bears made up for the 2 months of hardly any sightings 🐻

You guys...epic video!!! In PNW, I definitely suggest Long Beach WA. Then be sure and stop at the Smoke house in Rockaway for lunch. All of their food is amazing. This is a must stop for food. Don't be scared, it is tiny, but mighty. Tillamook cheese factory(hit it early in the morning). Just take your time going through PNW. All the little pull off's have amazing views. Oh, Depot Bay or Newport...hopefully the whales will be passing though.
@Meghanandmatt2 жыл бұрын
Tiny but mighty sounds just like Meghan lol. Thanks for the recommendations! We’re hoping we can time the whale migration!

This was an AMAZING series to watch! What an EPIC adventure! Loved all the beautiful scenery, and wildlife. Looks like it had the ultimate finish in Skagway - such a cute town and those brothel names were hilarious! Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to your adventure in the PNW and your winter getaway in Baja! Hope you meet up with all the other KZbinrs headed to Baja! That will be an EPIC winter adventure! Love you guys! ✨

I've taken 2 cruises to Alaska! So much fun!!! Skagway, Juneau, and Ketchikan is where we stopped! We took a train tour from Skagway into the Yukon and played with husky puppies! It's really fun to see places I have been! Hoping the PNW is coming soon!

Oh snap🤣🤣 I should have finished the video 1st! Yes the PNW! Upper Left, USA! I sent yall clam cowder recommendations a while back for newport, or. Don't forget about eastern Washington and Idaho! Coeur d' Alene is beautiful. From spokane, wa(my home, come say 👋 lol) we have 76 lakes within a 2 hour drive. Lots of great hiking at Mt spokane or Switzer Mt. And so many breweries! No-Li is the best!!!

That must have been an amazing experience!! We wanted to stop in Juneau but it would have been too expensive for us to ferry the van. We’re pumped to go to the PNW!!!

I’m enjoying your videos. Do you guys hang out with locals when you travel to get the local vibe? Thanks for showing me a part of the state I haven’t visited yet. Surprised you didn’t have any videos of people setting up tents on the ferry deck.
@Meghanandmatt2 жыл бұрын
Hey! Yeah we’ve met up with some locals in a few places but we don’t usually film with them just hang out. There wasn’t anyone camped out on this one I’d imagine cause it was only about an hour long ferry ride

I once took an Alaska ferry from Ketchikan (where my cousins run the local Duck tour) to Bellingham, WA. 40 hours, very scenic and relaxing, and not overly expensive. I slept in a roomette similar to those on trains. The food in the cafeteria was varied and excellent. Try it sometime!
