@@OwenJackson loved it! I always thought vivobarefoot has been too conservative in their colorway. This one really pops and just looks right innit? I recently got the motus strength in the blue tint colorway, it's nice to see them playing with more colors.

Really exited to see how these develop as really struggling with the lack of width and ever more tapered last shape in a few Vivo models, particularly their running shoes. I even wish Vivo just did a couple of different last shapes like other barefoot brands have started to, a standard transitioning one and a full hobbit mode after your feet have spread like mine. 😆 I was very tempted to apply for the tester program but almost exclusively trail run and couldn’t justify it. Would be awesome if there was a SG sole option in the pipeline.
@OwenJackson Жыл бұрын
hahahah, your comment about going full Hobbit made me lol! There is some exciting talk of taking the made-to-measure technology into other vivo lines once this initial phase has been tested. which brand offer different width sizing? i'd be curious to check them out.

As humans we inevitably make an impact on the world around us, but we have a responsibility to minimise the negative impact and counteract that with positive measures by harnessing tech. thanks for watching and be sure to stay tuned for future videos ✌️

@@OwenJackson we go there on our family walks there quite often. It's great that it has been restored as the walk between two canals is so much easier now. This is a very stunning "shortcut" indeed. I'm only starting my barefoot journey. Trying to run in my new vivos is my next challenge. 🙃

A great place for family walks for sure, super wholesome. With barefoot running, gradual pace and mileage increasing, posture and cadence is key with barefoot transitioning. Enjoy your runs and listen to your body. Most importantly, have fun and enjoy moving your body 😃 You may have also heard of the benefits of nasal breathing. I go into the application and science with videos on my channel 😊

Now this is interesting. As a Pearson that is in to quality footwear and having my own ideas this could fill the place of barefoot shoe in my rotation. I do have weird approach to the subject thinking that the best way to treat feet is to have really diferent footware and not only tipe so i do have different arch suport boots, flat sneekers and non suporting shoes in rotation. I didn't fint the right looking and exiding model until this. Moste of them are to wide so they just fall of my feet in the right lainght due to the fact i have thin feet and ball. This could work
@OwenJackson Жыл бұрын
The custom fit would definitely help with your unique foot anthropometry. Also, in the future, being able to customise the design will appeal to your unique style and you could have your shoes reflect your flare 🤩 Thanks for watching Bruno, more videos to come

Right now I use a heat gun to loosen up vivo blooms so they are wide enough for me. I’m interested in the scan approach so data of actual human feet could be reflected in all their shoes.
@OwenJackson Жыл бұрын
Yo Stew, thanks for watching. The custom fit will really help with anthropromiphic differences and allow your unique structure to be accounted for, so no more heat gun and widening required.Exciting times. how are you finding the blooms? I'm yet to try 😃

@OwenJackson11 ай бұрын
They look great right Kev 🤩 There were a limited amount of general public as part of the pioneer programme but I’d imagine once the technology and process is streamlined from the feedback, it won’t take much for this to be rolled out and available more widely 👍 The next Biome production run is just around the corner [V2] I will be sure to keep you updated as we continue through this process and learn more 🦶🏻

This is super exciting for the future of barefoot shoes. Vivo are market leaders in that. It’ll be interesting to see how they develop the range with the feedback from testers like yourself. Love the orange, but that design and sole wouldn’t be practical for me living in the sticks!

Thanks for the comment. Are fivefingers your favourite barefoot shoe? I own a pair of fivefingers and personally would choose vivos almost exclusively. Only a few specific applications would I thread my toes into the fivefingers. I understand your viewpoint but for my personal use case and preference, the vivos are more user friendly and have better aesthetics 😃 The Vivobiome are also specifically made to your foot sizing 📏 how cool is that

They need to fix that damn shallow duck shaped toebox. Uncomfortable and looks weird. Very sad to see it even in their custom shoes. Maybe they need to use a different last..

Environmentally responsible, one of those new terms 🙄 that no one cares about.
@OwenJackson Жыл бұрын
Each to their own. Personally, environmentally conscious decisions are appealing to me. Obviously this isn’t conclusive, but a survey in 2021 conducted by PWC found ‘85% of consumers have become “greener” in their purchasing habits. 79% of consumers are changing their purchasing habits to reflect their sense of social responsibility. 50% of global consumers say they have become more eco-friendly in the past six months’

@eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee95316 ай бұрын
@nate Not really. All we care about is if the product works as intended at the end of the day. Especially compared to if the product works and hold up as intended whether they are "greener choices" or not. It's such a stupid term.

Well. Good. I care about the planet but also civilization as well. I just wish that politics did not get involved with the global movement. Or did not originate from the elite class of people. If that is the case, then they can control information and can end up lying to us. Just the way how this entire carbon footprint thing works is anti-human. Before we get deep down into this conversation. Why is it that the political figures who are for the green deal for war? I mean they MUST know that war is not good for the environment. Is it not?
