35/12.5/17s Grabber AT/x and Dirty Life Mayhem rims. Been really reliable so far. Not great in deep snow, but everything else they have been outstanding. I've had motomaster AT 2's and AT 3's' and loved them. I'm going to buy a set of these this Fall. You should see a much bigger improvement in icy winter driving with these, as all that siping is for ice traction.
@leadnsteel14282 жыл бұрын
Yes I live in Barrie Ontario and we've had some snow here already this year. The Motomasters beat the k02s. The tread blocks are thicker, and the siping is great in snow. I hardly ever need 4wd. The k02s were terrible on ice.

I got the 285 copper SST pro mud tires on my FJ. swear they will crawl up a glass wall. Things my all terrains could not do in 4x4 low, they do without spinning in just rear wheel drive. pushing 50,000 km, and still hanging in there. They are an E rated tire so harder rubber, balance like crap, but man do they dig. they also have a built in crease to air down. excellent on snow and ice as they have sips in the lugs, and strange little indented teath keeps the mud from packing in.

Wait, so did you adjust the speedometer/odometer to accommodate the tire size difference? Or was your gas efficiency calculation already taken into consideration of the larger tires? I am running KO2s, nothing special there, but I LOVE my bronze TRD wheels found on the 2013 TT edition.
@stokedtour2 жыл бұрын
Oooo those are nice wheels 👍 And yeah I added an adjustment factor due to the speedo and odo showing lower values than actual with the larger tires. I've noticed the same kind of thing last year when I was running the BFG KM3 33's - the difference was too close to notice, but I also drive like a grandma on the road, so maybe if you are harder on the gas pedal, the differences will be more apparent

I'm going to grab a set of these for my 2022 Sierra I think. Leveled and some 285/60r20 is exactly what I'm looking for and ability to do interest free financing on my CT card is dope to. Had 33x12.5 with a couple inches of poke for a while but the rubbing and mileage made me want to move away from that style. Also these tires are crazy lightweight which you can't find in E rated larger tire sizes like you can with these. There's only a few select brands in select tires that offer this. This tire in the size I said is almost 20lbs lighter than a KO2. That's HUGE for power delivery and gas mileage. Not to mention KO2s have a super annoying sound that I can't stand. It's just the pitch of the sound vs most other tires. I'd honestly rather have a mud terrain lol.

KO2 may not be the best. But you can buy a replacement anywhere in the world. That's their advantage.
@locophoto68812 жыл бұрын
A replacement doesn't have to be the same tire. Have run mismatched pairs for decades, or run three of one and one of another a few times too. So that's not an advantage. Talk to veteran car guys..many have run four different tires on their cars or SUV's when money was really tight...there's no big deal difference to be worried about but tire companies will always try to push the fear agenda that you better buy their same tire or doomsday happens....except they're lying...shocking that they'd lie to make a profit.
