Nice. You should get the Makita XGT 40v mowers in for testing and a replacement big battery of the Makita that failed your tests. I purchased the 480mm XGT last week. Done 5 lawns since and it ticks all the boxes. Compacts the bag to the brim. Never used more than 9 of 16ah, two 8 ah batteries that auto switch when empty. Sound is easy on the ears. Good price/performance ratio.

I like these, hard to find a battery roller mower and these seem reasonable priced, I like that the self propelled when engaged is off instantly like a petrol one, unlike some which have a soft start to them which makes it really slow when setting off and is annoying when your getting into a flow. Found this especially with a stiga I had and in the end I had to send it back.

Is the blade clogged up underneath? I would question if any of those mowers are suitable for a large lawn. How long use do you get before you need to change the battery which means you need to buy a spare to continue mowing. All well and good with a large collection box but very heavy to lift full of grass. It would take me 4 days to cut my lawns with the 20 inch mower. Horses for courses as they say. Battery mowers are ok for flat small to medium size gardens. If you want me to test the largest on mine send one over for a real trial.

Hi - what cutting height were you using for the 20 inch? I have a dead Suffolk Punch cylinder mower and would like to move from petrol to battery but I am worried the cut length of the Cobra 20 is too long. Thank you
