The saga of the two much-delayed and over-budget Scottish Government-ordered Calmac ferries has cost taxpayers hundreds of millions of pounds. It has also left islanders with a severly disrupted service.
One of the vessels, the MV Glen Sannox, is due to finally start carrying passengers and cars between Arran and Troon.
