@@youmenow1 my prediction is that we won't find out what those are. There are at least dozen sightings, if not hundreds more, which can be attributed to the pentagon UFO's. The problem is that none of the data collected from any of those sightings provides concrete evidence which could tilt the odds in favor of the Alien hypothesis, computer error hypothesis, or the myriad of the other explanations of these phenomena (foreign government technology, etc). The captured footage is of poor quality, and in the infrared spectrum, making it hard to discern any details or clues which could help us understand what these objects are. I don't think that will change, at least in the short term (ie. next 5 to 10 years), and until that happens, we'll probably never get our answer. So because of that, I wouldn't get my hopes up.

With a reduction in the military's budget, we could redistribute the extra funds to our welfare programs, nationalise the pharmaceutical industry, invest in green energy, invest in scientific research in all fields, and fund the hell out of NASA, to push further into the final frontier.

regent dragoon i also believe this. though i watched a documentary that said if there is, it is extremely unlikely that our species will even exist by the time our planet is found by higher intelligence. odds were far more likely of us being wiped out by war or natural disaster in 10,000 years that being found by alien life. since less than 0.0001% of the universe can be covered in that time. even if aliens were to travel towards us right now at near light speed. they would be unlikely to ever reach us. the universe is just too big.

I eventually came to the conclusion that alien life likely does exist somewhere in the universe, probably in multiple places. That being said, I feel like it's probably a lower level of life, like tiny organisms, that have little to no ability to communicate in a significant way. Or, the life is advanced to a position where we're the ones that are insignificant. If a being possessed the capabilities needed in order to make contact with us then we most likely wouldn't offer any crucial value to them. It would have to be a "just bc we can" sort of deal but that's applying a human concept bc such beings may not even possess an ego as we do. I really hope that, if life does exist in such a manner, they also would have no need for causing us harm.
