I met my partner when I was a freshman in college way back in 1971. We have been a couple now for 51 years. We did finally get married 3 years ago to protect our possessions from the government and any family that might try to claim any thing when one of us dies. We are 70 and 71 yrs. old. I was with my first man for 14 years, marriage would have made the aftermath of his death much easier, his family was a problem, early 90s, no gay marriage! My second man died in 2012 years before marriage was legal here in NY. So I can relate to all your relationship issues which happen regardless of orientation. My soulmate, significant other, and I had 28 incredible years together. He passed from agent orange exposure . He was a hospital corpsman at Da Nang Naval Hospital. He was 13 years, my senior . He asked me to marry him when certain states allowed gay marriage. I turned him down , did not want to live in a state that was not one of them. When the Supreme Court made it legal, I asked him , and he turned me down. For not marrying him when he adked. When he was in a rare stage 4 cancer , he said , I've been married , you haven't, lets do it. I agreed, but then I started thinking , I don't want to marry him because he is dying. We had a beautiful connection and 28 years of true love. I miss him incredibly 😢 You two remind me of us !!!! Enjoying discovering you !!!!😊

im glad your parents took it better then my did they were livid when i introduced them to my older boyfriend (im 24 and he's 61) my dad wanted to basically disowned me and my mom shook her head saying what did i go wrong with my son but slower over time they came to terms with the fact that im dating an older man and after a year i think they finally realized that were both legal adults and as long as im happy and he treats me right then thats all that matters.

I just stumbled onto your videos yesterday. I’ve never commented before but I had to say you’re an inspiration. I’m a widower after 45 years with the most loving and beautiful woman on the planet. After a couple years I was ready to perhaps find someone to spend the rest of my life. I posted a blurb on a dating site and immediately received a response from someone unexpectedly. He and I fell in love almost at first sight. He is 24 years younger than me (I’m 67). So many surprises to both of us. I never considered myself gay and I’ve tried to reason that I simply fell in love with a man this time. His age is between my kids ages. Tradition doesn’t matter, like always with the same gender, must be near the same age, etc. I just hope now that I can live to 100 so I don’t leave him alone when he’s still young. Keep it up. My husband and I have been together 15 years. I never wanted to get married, just because I don't think the government should be able to say one relationship is valid and another is not, but there was a time when I wanted to get him coverage under my work insurance, and the only way was to be married. About 5 years after we got married, I had heart failure and had to be hospitalized, and they tried to keep my husband out of the decision making when I was unconscious, but because we were married, they had to include him. So, I am glad we did it, for exactly the reasons you talked about. Being married hasn't changed anything about how we feel about each other. He is 22 years younger than me, so I really enjoy your videos and the other age gap relationships on KZbin. I hope you start posting videos more often again. It would be great if you reached out to some other age gap couples to do collabs.

I met my husband in 1981, I had just returned from the West Coast. I stopped at Kmart and on my way back to my car, I noticed a tall, handsome guy asking people for a jump, as his car battery died. I gave him the jump, he asked me back to his house, for coffee. I refused politely but finally gave in. One thing led to another and yadda, yadda, yadda, and I moved in the next day. LOL We spent the next 18 years together until a heart attack took him from me. I never remarried because I had it beautiful for 18 years and it doesn’t happen twice. I’m 65 now and think of him everyday.
