In my interpretation which is flawed I'm sure, Paul is referencing the law which states women cannot teach in the church, I was under the impression that when Jesus died on the cross the law of the old testament died with him ? I can't remember what verse but I do remember something to the effect that women can preach to children and other women

@@carpentertom2835 The scripture reads: teach OR have authority, not just teach as you claim. Paul's letter is in the New Testament - and he speaks about the church - and the church was not established until the New Testament era. Throw another pitch if you will.

For anyone who struggles with this: After much anguish in my soul over the things people say on this topic, I feel I finally have my answer, and possibly an answer for others who struggle with this as well. To keep it as simple as I can: Paul starts out in verse 2 with saying "Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you." Then says "but I would have you know..." then goes on for a few verses talking about all the things people get confused on and fight about.. but then he ends the subject in verse 16 with "But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God." It sounds to me like Paul is saying that he wants us to know those things are true and there is a hierarchy of responsibility to respect and to take from these verses what we can find and apply it to our lives if it brings us value, but if it sows contention among us then to also know that following all those things isn't a command and not to make a bigger deal out of it than is wise and necessary because they actually have no such customs and neither do the Churches of God. So maybe it's just one of those things that's up to an individual's personal conviction and requires study and introspection and prayer to find where the Holy Spirit leads them in their situation and church group..

@@AJ-ku9jzI think you’re contradicting yourself a bit here. The first part of the verse clearly states “all things are lawful”. Meaning everything in the Bible is law and the word of Go; period. The second part of both verses means it may not apply you in the sense that it may not be an issue for you compared to someone else. Not to pick and choose what to follow and what not to follow/believe in. Example: a lying tongue is a sin; you don’t necessarily having a problem with lying so it might not be an issue for you to uphold this law but compared to someone whose a compulsive liar - that’s a different story. To both of you, it’s the law; no more no less (Deut. 4:2) but it affects you personally to varying degrees compared to others and vice versa.

Thank you for speaking on this subject, Mr. Pearl. I found this channel recently and I am excited to listen and learn more through your posts. No Greater Joy helped tremendously in homeschooling and training our children when they were young. I do have a question and I mean no disrespect. Is it permissible for women to teach and preach to other women? There are a few comments already posted about Joyce Meyer and I guess my question is specific to her women's conferences and books geared toward women. Beth Moore is another that comes to mind. Is this permissible and if I woman chooses to have this type of "women's ministry," are we calling into question their salvation? Lately, I have been praying and asking God for discernment, as there no limit to the misinformation shared as "news," in social media, and in the church as well. Thank you.

Did you get a satisfactory answer, biblically, to your question about whether women should be teaching other women? I do think there is a spiritual basis for the more mature women to be mentors and teachers of the younger women. That’s what older women are supposed to do, according to Scripture. But I question these big elaborate “women’s ministries“ sometimes. The very name puts focus on women. I’m pretty sure that’s not where our focus should be. The women’s ministries that I have experience to run the gamut of Bible study fellowship with it very structured focus on scripture, and similar church-based ladies Bible studies, two more social/fellowship events. A way to connect women in the church socially, in the hopes that their common faith will lead to Women ministering to other women in the body of Christ.

You are the first person who has made this point that a woman is more easily deceived. So I commend you for at least having a reason for the woman pastor argument. I personally can be naive and easily deceived, while my husband is more apt to doubt. But I would be a way better pastor than my husband because I have the gift of teaching and empathy and compassion, which in my opinion makes a good pastor. I’m not a pastor, but I believe many women make good pastors and teachers. If we can teach at colleges why can’t we teach at churches? Not all women are either naive or ruthless. It also makes zero sense to say that a woman can be in political offices and make decisions for everyone in civil matters, yet must be silent in the church. Where’s the logic in that? Here’s the danger in saying that all people of a certain gender shouldn’t do something. We easily focus on how a woman shouldn’t be a pastor because her gender is an obvious trait about her, but while we are focusing on these women who “shouldn’t be pastors” we are ignoring 10s of thousands of men who are already pastors who are abusing their power, molesting kids, telling gays that God hates them and turning 1000s of people away from God but mis-portraying him as hateful. If Paul we’re here today I bet he wouldn’t be preaching on whether woman should be pastors. He would be preaching on all the way more important ways the church has fallen from Gods love and intentions for us.

Brian of utube channel "faith on fire" says the verses are about how man his the head of a marriage and that is what Paul is referring to. Brian says Paul wrote this because the converts to christianity of that city were under rhe influence of the goddess Artemis. Those converts were under the influence and teaching that was women came before men. Those verses are not referring to authority or leadership role in a church but only address the relationship of husband amd wife. My view is than why does Paul go on to clearly express what an individual who is to be a leader (bishop/pastor) in the next verses. My take is even if those verses are of marriage only (which they are not) than they are emphasizing the the importance of how a man is only to be in a pastoral preacher leadership role within the church environment. I got invited to church one time and when it began a woman preacher came out. I got up and left without saying a word. I got nothing against women, they can do great things for Christ, but preaching to a room full of men isn't one of them. Of course people get upset with me for being that way but I wasn't the one who wrote the rules. As a woman raised in the pentecostal faith, I have spent years researching topics such as this as well as tongues. I left the pentecostal faith many years ago. I have tried to show thru scripture to my family members (we inherit our families religion and most dont question it) and i have been dismissed or my family went to their preacher who contradicted it all. How do you get thru to people who are unwilling to see/ hear?? I ask God to fill my mouth as He did Paul because my biggest fear is i start talking and I get tongue tied. God has helped me with this some. I was getting more comfortable with witnessing discussing scripture to people but I allowed a situation with a family member to beat me down spiritually. I'm struggling to claw my way back up?! Please pray with me for deliverance from this... its holding me back. God bless!!

Why was your reading so clear in saying what Paul said and then a sentence later you said it was what God said. I will always honour a clear reading but let’s get real here, it was Paul, a pastor, a preacher, who to the best of my knowledge, did not sit at the feet of Jesus nor have communication with Jesus when He walked the earth stating, in my opinion, his opinion or preference was for women to remain in silence in the church. This week I have to talk to a woman who say's she used to an ordained Catholic Minister. Now she say's she is a Christian and is going to be ordained again. He doesn't understand that the Jews of Israel had customs that don't apply to Christians. If a woman is called to preach, and I believe they are because, I have seen some who could outpreach most men and on top of that they were Baptized in the Holy Spirit. So, Pastor you might want to rethink this. I hadn't listened to Michael Pearl for some time and I forgot why it was that I was cautious when entertaining his teaching. Listening to this message has reminded me how often we can present the truth of scripture and in the same breath present our personal interpretation when the word of God before us is so clear. Somewhere around 20 minutes into the video I saw this take place. Other viewers take this opportunity to look at that point in the video and see if you see and hear the same things that I do. I won't allude to what he was saying that was unscriptural but I believe the Holy Spirit guides us in all truth and when we hear error he reveals that to us. I'm sure that I am guilty of the same thing or something similar in my own life. I hope that the Lord will help me recognize it and repent of it. We do not need to backpedal or soft soap the truth when we experienced resistance from contemporary culture. Be kind and compassionate as you hope to encourage the hear of the truth and not to wound them with it. It is not necessary to adjust your application of a rightly divided interpretation because it will offend many of society. You will end up developing many compromises and contradictions that will undermine and work against biblical culture which is created with rightly dividing and rightly applying Scripture. I'm always cautious when a man is more popular than Jesus. I'm also cautious when a man is monetized in the things he does with relationship to the scripture and ministry. Having been in that system of ministry, I know that there are many ways to profit and be sustained without technically receiving money directly. I also find it perplexing how writing our own interpretations of scripture is necessary and not dangerous. You can teach verbally and speak an error with correction immediate by other prophets and the error goes no further than that meeting and people. However, if you write something and publish it printing thousands of copies and circulating them throughout the world, it's near impossible to redact it. Print the Bible and be compensated for the expense involved? Yes of course, that's the work of the scribes. But there's always question for those who receive payment by the message they declare. By the way a brief note for those who are Christians struggling with their political involvement. He that knoweth to do good and do it not to him it is sin. Some good is better than no good. Vote for as much righteousness as you can.Donald Trump is not a Christian by a biblical definition but he quite possibly could be the friend of Christians. Perhaps like Cyrus was to the children of Israel.

At 3 mins 55 seconds you began to read what you said was 1 Timothy 5:7. My KJV bible said nothing in regards as to what your read. Are you sure you were at those passages ? I would love to find a verse that speaks of the bible being for all times but at 1 Tim 5:7 it says nothing about " verity " in my bible. Please check your bible . 1 Tim 5 6 But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth. 7 And these things give in charge, that they may be blameless. 8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. "Are Women Preachers Biblical?" Absolutely not! Oh there are a minuscule number of scriptures that one could interpret that Jesus (who is God) deemed that a woman should preach. However... Notice this: Jesus (who is God Almighty) made the 12 sons of Jacob be the heads of the "12 tribes of the Israelites"; to teach the Israelites the law, etc. So, WHY in the pluperfect hallelujah, did Jesus not choose "Dinah" (only daughter of Jacob) to be a tribe leader too? HUH? Also... Jesus made 12 disciples to carry his message to the world. How come Jesus dd not make 6 of the 12 disciples to be women? HUH? Why is there not a single woman prophet "writer" in the Bible? Huh? Also... Read this: Genesis 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. Truthfully, and verily brothers in Christ Jesus, we are to enforce his word. If we lead anyone not just in a buliding or synagogue but in our walk, to speak what God says, Jesus is the word, meaning we need to rebuke fearlessly and bind spirits openly. Women are incredibly susceptible to the Jezebel spirit. They are the weaker vessel spiritually, meaning easily possessed and oppressed. Whether married or having close female friends as men, we are to be their spiritual covering!!! That's means we speak what our Lord says openly to them. We are not to be unequally yoked! If your wife or the women in your life don't like that, they are not meant to be in your life. If they hate you when you correct them, they are of the world/satans kingdom. We are to pray for them at that point, but love them from a distance! Women are not first according to God the Father, Spirit, and Son. Men are first and hold authority. It's a spirit of Lilith that a woman goes to gain her own independence from men. Feminism is religion. Religion is the seed of the serpent satan, doesn't come across the throne of God, period! (ISM) at the end of any word or even (ist) is a religious connotation derived from demonic doctrine that corrupted all of the English language.

As touching the subject of Women Preachers, this has been a lie told in the land for many years, that God has called and sent Women to Preach! There's hundreds on hundreds of so-called women preachers, and all of them have the same lying mouth, that God sent them to preach. God never called or sent Women to Preach! You may wonder why I say that? Because there's no bible that says he did! Understand this, and get this well, there's no place in the bible where women did any preaching! Nowhere! The bible condemns women trying to preach and having authority over the man. Now let us go to the Bible, and whatever the bible says, that's what we're going to take. Reader anytime you read the truth in the bible and still don't believe it, then you are a plain hypocrite! Women and weak men try to justify themselves in the scriptures, but all have failed. One scripture they use is Numbers 22:27 - 28, "And when the ass saw the angel of the Lord, SHE fell down under Balaam: and Balaam's anger was kindled, and he smote the ass with a staff. And the Lord opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, what have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times?" Out of ignorance, and the scripture says be not ignorant, they emphasize the fact that it was a female animal. Just because it spoke to Balaam they say that gives them the right to preach, because the women preachers compare themselves to a dumb ass or (donkey). Get this women preachers, you've over looked what kind of voice came out of the dumb ass. Notice II Peter 2:15 - 16, "Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Boser, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; But was rebuked for his iniquity; the DUMB ASS SPEAKING WITH MAN'S VOICE forbad the madness of the prophet." As you can see the dumb ass spoke with man's voice, so you can't go to Numbers to justify yourself women preachers. The so-called women preachers also speak of Deborah because she judged Israel. That's true but the bible didn't say she preached! Deborah was a prophetess and the fools and slow of heart try to put that in with Joel 2:28, "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pur out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your DAUGHTERS SHALL PROPHESY, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions." Not knowing the scriptures nor the Power of God, they say prophesying is preaching. Prophesying is NOT preaching, but it's the foretelling of an event that is going to come. It's given to women to prophesy, but not to preach! St. Mark 16:9 - 10, "Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appreared first to May Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils. And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept." The false churches and Devil built organizations love to tell a lie on this scripture by saying Mary preached the first message. You told a lie and everyone that believes that, believes a lie, because the bible didn't say she preached the first anything! You can always get a heathen to lie on God and his word! Another scripture they always lie on Galatians 3:28, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus." From this scripture, the lie they tell is God will use women just like he'll use a man. The bible never made no such statement, so that's another lie. Galatians 3:28 is showing that God has no respect of persons regarding salvation. The scripture say "Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons. But in EVERY NATION he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him." Acts 10:34 - 35, It says again, "For ye are ALL THE CHILDREN of God by faith in Christ Jesus." Galatians 3:26. Galatians 3:28 didn't have a thing to do with letting a woman preach The Gospel of Jesus Christ. When you're blind and deceived of the Devil, you'll believe every lie and damnable doctrine that comes along. Philippians 4:3, "And I entreat thee also true yokefellow, help those women which labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the Book of Life." When the Apostle Paul said, "Help those women which laboured with me in the gospel", right then, that old carnal mind will say he had women helping him preach, and of course that's not the truth. You didn't read about no woman helping Paul preach anything at any time. The Apostle Paul declared, "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you then that ye have received, let him be accursed." Galatians 1: 8 - 9. The Apostles forbid us to bring another Gospel that differs from what they preach. If they didn't allow women to preach then, nobody is justified in having them now! Notice Ecclesiastes 7:27 - 28, "Behold, this have I found, saith the preacher, counting one by one, to find out the account: Which yet my soul seeketh, but I find not: ONE MAN AMONG A THOUSAND HAVE I FOUND; but a WOMAN among all those have I NOT FOUND." King Solomon didn't find none in his day! Isaiah 3:12, " As for my people, children are their oppressors, and WOMEN RULE OVER THEM. O my people, they which LEAD THEE CAUSE THEE TO ERR, AND DESTROY THE WAY OF THY PATHS." Reader, do you see what Isaiah is saying? He spoke plain here, that if a woman leads you she will cause you to err, and you'll be destroyed! Despite what the Bible says, you still have foolish, hell bound, weak, ungodly men ordaining women for Bishops, Elders, Pastors and Deaconess. You have women standing head of churches, leading men and women to Hell fire and destruction. Isaiah 9:16 - 17, "For the LEADERS, of this people cause them to ERR, and they that are LED of them are DESTROYED. Therefore, the LORD SHALL HAVE NO JOY IN THEIR YOUNG MEN neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: For everyone is an HYPOCRITE and are EVIL DOER, and every mouth speaketh FOLLY. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still." Everyone that sits under women preachers are hypocrites and evil-doers according to what the word of God says! Some are fool enough to call themselves BISHOP! How wicked, and blinded by the hands of the Devil. The Bible says in I Timothy 3:1 - 2, "This is a true saying, (This lets us know, any other saying apart from this true saying is a lie!). If a MAN desire the office of a Bishop, HE (Not She) desireth a good work. A Bishop then must be blameless, the HUSBAND of one wife, (It didn't say the wife of one husband!) vigilant, sober, of good behavior, given to hospitality, apt to teach." Listen to what Paul said, "Let your women keep SILENCE IN THE CHURCHES: For it is NOT PERMITTED unto them to SPEAK; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. And if they will learn any thing, LET THEM ASK THEIR HUSBANDS AT HOME: For it is a SHAME FOR WOMEN TO SPEAK IN THE CHURCH." I Corinthians 14: 34 - 35. You find so-called women preachers going contrary to the bible, and having speaking appointments. Even though the bible says for them to be silent in the churches, and if they want to know anything ask their husbands at home, they willingly ignore The Bible and still insist on standing before the church and tell their husbands and everyone else what to do. You've got to be a hypocrite to ignore the Bible! I Timothy 2: 11 - 14, "Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. for Adam was first formed, then Eve. and Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression." As you can plainly see, the scriptures are against women preachers. The bible only allows the aged women to teach the younger women according to Titus 2: 3 - 4 - 5, "The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; (Now the bible is going to outline what the woman is to teach, and she's not to go no further.), that they may teach the YOUNG WOMEN to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be descreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. When women follow that, then they are in keeping with what the Word of God says. "Let all things be done decently and in order." I Corinthians 14:40. In my conclusion Brothers and Sisters, you don't have Women Apostles, or Women Bishops or Elders or Pastors or Evangelists or Deaconesses in the Bible! It's of the Devil and out of the Pit of Hell! All churches that have women preachers or believe in Women Preachers, you don't believe the bible and your worship is in VAIN. My advice to you reader is come out of every church that have women preachers, and walk in the truth. Revelations 2:20, "Notwithstanding I have a few things AGAINST THEE, Because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which called herself a prophetess, to TEACH and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed with idols." dear Pastor Mike, If there was a man who started coming to your church with really long hair as we see so many wearing today, would you tell him he must cut his hair because the Lord says it is unseemly and only for women? it seems to me that that only women can be told what they can and cannot do. I never hear of men being told the biblical injunction about long hair. I don’t believe in women Bible teachers or pastors, but I tired of the double standard here. Pastors, man up!

I think it means birthing and raising children really humbles and changes a woman in a way it allows her to see how God sees us, it leads her to God. That’s what it did for me. My children saved me in the sense it got me thinking about their souls, God, all that- led me to Jesus ❤️
