The VAPP Law in Nigeria was passed on 25 May 2015. But in 2024, A bill to repeal the Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Act (VAPP Act), a law designed to curb gender-based violence in Nigeria, the National Assembly, a critical legislation, is being considered by the Senate for a repeal.
