Fantastic Steve ... I just purchased an IF2, hopefully it will be better than the standard in-line extractor fan, it sounds like it will be ... great video content btw ...

This fan works great. I replaced one of my exhaust fans with this one, and the difference is remarkable.

Can you go into more detail on how to connect the AP2 to a P2(no input for the dongle)?
@SteveMakesEverything7 күн бұрын
The dongle plugs into one of the USB-C ports on the back of the laser. Power on the AP2 and plug in the dongle, then go into Settings in XCS and select Accessories. You should see the device.

Great video, thanks! Just curious; if I combine the inline fan with my xtool S1 and included xtool fire extinguisher; will the Xtool S1 turn off the fan in case of a fire? Or is is working against the fire extinguisher because it is moving all the CO2 out? Thanks for the info and your time!

xTool support the IF2 on the S1. You just need to plug in the Bluetooth dongle like I did here on the P2S and connect it through XCS.

Question re the IF2. I have the S1 20W vented out through a window which is VERY close to the back of the machine. If I want to connect it directly to the back, instead of having any hose, is that possible and what is the length it protrudes from the back of the machine? I have less than 8 inches to the window....and because when not in use, I have exterior metal blinds, I can't have it stuck out much through the window fitting either!
@SteveMakesEverything5 күн бұрын
With 8 inches, it would be tight, but I think this would fit as long as one end of the IF2 fits directly into the S1 and the other end fits directly into your output pipe. The IF2 itself is about a 4" cube but there are nozzles running on and out of it that add another 4 inches. Also in the configuration you're suggesting, you would also need to find a way to mount the IF2 because it has a lot of torque and might tend to twist. Realistically, you would be better to use some flex tube and put a couple of bends in it to ensure that everything fits how it's supposed to.

@@SteveMakesEverything Thanks. It looks like I may look at the filter instead...at least I could then move the S1 if I wanted to.
@SteveMakesEverything3 күн бұрын
@@createinspain THe AP2 filter works amazingly well, but like any filter, you have some on-going running costs to be aware of.
@createinspain3 күн бұрын
@@SteveMakesEverything Of course. Unlike a lot of you with workshops though, I am a light user, so filters should last quite a while.

Does it work to all xtool machines like M1 Ultra?

It works for any laser. The auto on/off will work with any laser that uses XCS for contol
