Keep up the great work! Was just looking at some Hawk deadlocks and they are almost 3k now. I'm guessing the titanium has made the price go way up compared to the $1400 for their aluminum chassis, I don't know have not really looked into it. But that's great news about the zero blade play and especially on the Ultratech now. It looks great as well. One more idea I would like to see happen is hollow grinds on them.

Dad-blast-it... Evidently we all like the same toys! I've heard you talk about Microtech in some of your shooting vids... and thought you sure were high on them. That figures also, as back in the early eighties, I was in Las Vegas on a job withI a couple of contracts with General Electric and another defense contractor who shall remain nameless( sensitive now ) at that time... and a man named Mike Dillon, who suggested I start going to SHOT SHOW... and the first booth I couldn't pass by was Microtech's ( as I was in shock with all the manufacturers and hardware )... and the rest is history. Besides firearms, machinery, and racing... I love and collect knives too! Glad to see you fulfill your days with greatness and Industry Giants! Hope the week goes well my friend. Respectfully, Seth

I really like my Ultratech. I've had it now for several years. Sadly I don't carry it often because the local laws are murky when it comes to 'automatic' knives. Still, it's a great blade and I like it a lot! Thanks Ray!

Considering i’ve seen videos of ray using his index finger to fire and retract one of the newer microtechs that means they significantly made it easier to deploy than older microtechs

They've actually done just that, the new dual spring models are incredibly easy to open and close compared to older ones, none of the thumb fatigue you used to get on older ones after a bunch of openings.

I’m already pretty impressed with the little blade play my late 2021 ultratech has so zero play would be super impressive! The only issue I have with mine is it takes an insane amount of force to retract the blade. It literally shreds the skin on my thumb (and no it’s not cause I’m weak because I’ve handed this knife to my 200+ pound friend open and he still had some trouble). If this comes in magnacut I’m gonna probably sell mine on Craigslist and pick it up.

I’m a knife guy and microtech addict. I don’t get why people are so hung up on the very minimal blade play in otf’s. It seems like it’s more of a good thing with a knife with moving parts as so no debris etc.. will clog it up. But I don’t make the knives so idk.

Bruh, you and I both. I like minimal play outside of what's needed to allow the blade to run. There needs to be some lash incase debris gets in the track etc. Gotta think ARs will jam when AKs won't for this exact reason.

I struggle with my opinion on microtech. Without question great knives, but I wonder how much is the name. My folder from Chris(?) Wilmont is a beast and is my EDC. It was about 600. My hellcat otf is a lower grade of steel but the internals are perfect for 175. have a hard time justifying paying that much for a name. I had a 1000 otf from them and it was a beautiful blade but not worth 1000. It’s why as a Canik fanboy I’m not terribly excited about the TTI. To be clear, microtech makes fantastic knives but they’re not worth it to me. My opinion., bring the pain.

Crud cutter is the design under the button track to allow clearance for lint and debris from your pocket. Anything with the Zero Blade Play or Zero Stop feature is the no movement blade once deployed.

i been in situations where i have gotten alot of grid and sand in an OTF and had deployment issues just cant ever carry one again long live the manual flipper

Yes, that’s an issue with any OTF on the market. Sand and OTF’s don’t play well together.

Well, you have every right to mention the delay. I can 100% without a shadow of a doubt tell you that they are currently and have been in production . We already have a decent supply of them ready for shipping. We knew this would be a big hit and and after extensive R&D testing for durability and reliability we will be shipping to dealers within a few weeks at this point. 10/22/24

I do have a question, i just purchased a combat troodon gen 3. Had it 2 weeks. It randomly gets off track when closing the blade. I fillowed your video on take down, light rem oil, put back together properly. It worked without flaw for a week now very sluggish again gets off track and needs to be reset 1 in 12 deployments/reployments. This time i sprayed rem oil thru the back holes and blade opening. Its back to working great until the oil drys out after 24 hours. Then back to issues. No lint or debris. Any suggestions sir?

That is not normal for that knife. I would go to the microtech website and go through the RA process and get it sent in for repair. Be very specific with the issue. They will make it right ! If not, please let me know.

Ray I sent a message to you on Instagram about a Microtech Jagdkommando I randomly found at a gun store, realized I couldn’t send a picture. Confirmed serial number with Microtech and it’s real. Flamed Titanium for 950 out the door Never seen one in person, had to buy it once I saw it lol.
