As an old proverb says "You will not climb up the ladder of success if you are constantly using one foot to reach down and crush the fingers of someone climbing below you." Learning to tell people "NO" is a HUGE skill to learn, because if you are to afraid to hurt someone's feelings or worried about offer ding them or thinking you are doing something wrong by saying "NO", you are going to be taken advantage of. Most of these times will happen when a friend, family member or co-worker ask you something or a favor and by you not saying "NO" most people will take advantage of you. Now there are some people who wouldn't take advantage of you but most people honestly will take advantage of you if they can. If you don't want taken advantage of start saying "NO". Realize telling people NO doesn't make you mean, it means you have boundaries and it's not always your responsibility to do favors for other people as if you are their mom or dad. The main reason people have a hard time saying no is because they don't want to hurt the other person's feelings or get into an argument. Well this is how you overcome that Would you rather say NO and have a possible argument which you can just walk away from Or would you rather not stand up for yourself and keep saying YES when you don't want too and be taken advantage of for the rest of your life? If you get into an argument over saying NO at least once the argument is over it's done with When someone takes advantage of you it's a continuous thing usually I'll give you examples of saying NO Someone wants to keep borrowing money from you and taking advantage of you with it, start saying NO unless you want them to rely on you for the rest of your life because they can't pay their own bills People who try to bum rides off of you to places that is not their home or work and even if it was home or work it's not your responsibility, start saying NO unless you want to be their new uber for the rest of your life I'm not saying you can never lend someone money or give someone a ride But some people will take advantage of it Some people just do it as a rare thing which is fine I guess But when people are purposely using your kindness to take advantage of you Learn to say NO It's not your job to be their mom or dad It's not your job to correct their life choices and it's not your responsibility to be responsible for their bad choices When you first tell someone NO it might be terrifying as you wait for their reaction But when it's over with you will feel relieved and won't feel so terrified to tell people no in the future Learning to say NO is a HUGE life skill, it applies ok every aspect of your life and you will be taken advantage of it you don't start drawing lines You don't have to be mean about it and if the other person starts to argue just walk away And let me edit this and be clear I am a Christian and I believe in helping those in need, you don't have to be a Christian to feel or be the same way, however the reason I stated this was so you guys understand there is a difference between helping someone in need and someone taking advantage of you. A person starving is a person in need A person who keeps asking you to pay for their food even though they have money and blow it all is not a person in need, that's a person who is purposely using you So learn the difference or else you'll have your lunch eaten in this world. An example of someone using you is a co-worker getting paid the same as you do but asking you to buy something from a vending machine with your own money The person is always smoking cigarettes yet is asking you to buy them something A situation like that is their own fault, that's not a person in need of no fault of their own, that's a person thinking they can make dumb decisions and have others solve their lack of good decision making Always help someone in need of you can and do good and be generous when and if you can But don't let people like that take advantage of you You aren't helping those people, you are just teaching them to rely on you and others instead of relying on themselves

"It's nobody else's responsability that you are where you are" well, I disagree. We depend on a lot of factors, we aren't as "self made" (in a utopic socio-economic vacuum) as instagram entrepreneurs love to think. I was bullied and left alone for years, a lot of girls treated me like shit and my family is a toxic mess. So, I won't take responsability for having trust issues, panic attacks and be depressed as hell. I can do some things with my willpower, but I'm fundamentally broken. Nevertheless, great video as always.

Great video alpha 💕! What I've learned from this video: - try to figure out when you receive criticism from people if it's constrictive criticism or destructive criticism. If it's constrictive thank them and review your actions or if it's destructive you should review the relationship you have with this person because toxic friends will only drag you down - a lot of people fall in the category of people that don't wanna upset anyone but what this does is that it prevents you from actually saying what you feel, ultimately standing up for yourself - don't waste time talking shit about other people cuz it won't bring you any good - don't take everything so seriously and don't let others' opinions upset you at the end of the day your opinion about yourself is what matters - treasure and praise your friends that actually matter
