There's really nothing to do after you've beaten the story mode for every available character. The world tournament is boring, the custom battles are too complicated and not that satisfying to play, and online matches are cancerous with everyone rage quiting and only choosing the same 5 charactersm If they added an arcade mode/challenge tower, added more (in depth) what ifs, or just added more stages for local multiplayer it would be more enjoyable to play.

A lot of people burnt themselves out playing for multiple hours in one session; and they’re facing the cheese characters every other match. I play for about an hour or 2 before I give myself a break. I’ll main a new character for a few days and switch in order to keep the gameplay fresh. If more players treat each match like a sparring session and have fun rather than sweating their ass off, it would help tremendously. I legit message players when we have a good set of matches or when they are flat out better than me. But the community itself is cooked. Definitely a weird limbo.

As a dude who spent over $115 dollars plus another $15 for the music packs plus 60 hours I've gotten soo bored of the game I beat the story and it's tedious and frustrating, beat all the modes including tournaments, beat custom mode and what puts me off is no recorded dialogue and sometimes it doesn't work properly, game is terribly optomised for PC it super lags despite my pc being above the requirements due to a fps lock, there's not enough single player content compared to tenkaichi 2 and 3 which had hours of replaybility and hours of great story especially bt2 with 60 hours or story plus 8 exclusive cutscenes overall this game got really boring for me and I quit very quickly I'm really upset that anyone with proper criticism got severe backlash and wasn't allowed to express their genuine opinion

Yeah the story mode uses more post cards then cutscenes to tell the story and what really makes it less enjoyable is there's almost always no narrator for the post cards so you have to read the words yourself to experience alot of the story which makes it less fun and engaging, I recall only hearing a narrator once, so yes the story mode is definitely to rushed.

I've been having fun because I've been able to make the game really really hard by making crazy custom battles it kind of feels like Elden ring when the enemy can heal like 80 times and do 50,000 damage with only hitting me one time for the most part that hasn't gotten boring for me especially with all the stories I can make to I do hope they up the difficulty and add more things to custom battles

The lack of character diversity is what made it's boring to me. Every character has moves that all do literally the same thing (except Ginyu) They a have the same combos and everything we are basically just playing reskins. I play fighting games cause I love to master my favorite characters unique kit sk Fighterz and Guilty Gear is fun for me but if you know the fubdementals of fighters you can play anyone and do perfect. Slow attacks, faster attacks, giants and androids are the only differences and of course like the others they all do the exact same thing.

They also remove ki sickness and imo revenge counter and perception is not needed if they straight up just take direct 100% mechanics from BT3 that already had tons of defensive mechanic. And they should create new difficulity for offline cpu in my opinion base on Z difficulity on BT4 mods. You can't cheese that game cpu at all and thats a big issue on Sparking Zero is having.

Perception was in BT3, you just pressed triangle and circle at once and then you could do the thing. The first gameplay i ever had of that game was the damn tutorial and im 100% sure that it was a BT3 mechanic

Episode Battle is the main feature I was looking forward to when the game was revealed since I’m not really an online person and I loved playing bt2 and BT3’s story modes so seeing how rushed episode battle turned out really disappointed me, like the game’s artstyle is modeled after DBS Broly and they didn’t even include that fight in episode battle 🤦🏿‍♂️

I honestly got bored after only the 3rd day. I hate the UI and think its such a huge downgrade from BT3. It feels like it takes forever to cycle through the story mode for a episode you want to play, the character intros are too long like perfect cell, and the character selection screen feels like a chore to cycle through to find who you want cuz it feels like clutter. Online isnt really that fun because its basically a vanish contest.

Story is 100% trash, trash customization,the “modes” in the game feel the exact same between single and tournament no effort whatsover to make it feel different, custom battles will never be more than mid unless they implement voiced lines and lift restrictions. Eventually as I improved and learned new things it kept me interested a bit more, but I still got bored again later on. People can say whatever they want about Xenoverse 2 but it had tons of content both online and offline. There's a reason its still being milked to this day

Dbz tenkaichi tag team for the psp, the actual last tenkaichi game, has more content and longevity than sparking zero. It took me a whole summer to do every battle 100, beat all 100 on survival, do every extra mission in story mode and it was a blast! Tbh it’s amazing it never got a sequel or console version. Anyone who hasn’t tried it, you could even emulate it now, play it and compare to SZ! for a psp game it fr holds its own.

Got over 100 hours it says. Online was so much fun at first... completely random and learning things and seeing all the characters and having fun. Then ppl became sweaty and made it unfun for any characters that aren't cheese or OP. Gogeta gave me nightmares. Then I just start using giants and making ppl rage quits just at the site of wheelo. The game is rly unbalanced online. Which is sad when there's over 100 characters. It's just not fun to keep losing no matter what you try on weaker characters. Customization is lacking in alternate outfits and Episode Battle mode was a disappointment, and should have just been one linear story with multiple branching paths like past games if it was just gonna be mainly a watered down Kakarot slideshow with the other characters getting whatever was left of the budget. And I agree with the few stages we got being samey with each other and the lack of a pre-destroyed ToP stage is questionable.

PLEASE For The Sake Of your fun man, I recommend you do not check out custom battle or atleast not so often. It's a cool feature, a little overhyped, but it literally will have you there for hours crafting a masterpiece that you won't even want to play by the end. Endless weights of time dragging you down lists of names and sentences that are so unorganized and lose meaning the more you think about the fact that they won't actually say those things, you'll decide on a dialogue choice bc you couldn't find the one you wanted, then once you're already on the third dialogue choice or another custom battle you'll find what you were looking for at a time that doesn't matter anymore, while thinking about the fact that you probably should've just played some matches and realizing that it partially takes away from the feeling of BT that this game struggles to maintain because those games didn't have a custom battle mode which granted gives you more accessibility to change the game and make a match almost exactly how you wanted it but is so time consuming and messy to use. Like if your computer was full of viruses that you could easily all kill with one click, but you just have to navigate around 1,000 windows to find that button that's stuck behind all these windows, but also to get past each window you have to answer 3 questions.

I didn’t realize it would be that bad making a custom battle 😅 I was planning on eventually doing it but it seems likely it’s very time consuming and time is something I don’t have a lot of lol

I feel as if the game is incomplete a little bit. Like when it comes to characters and costumes or even the story mode. Because as you can see when you go to Vegeta’s story the line goes beyond the majin buu arc but there is nothing there. Also they didn’t give us the what if skins.

Wouldnt say bored of the game, just gets boring when ur going up against the same few cheasy sweaty characters and theres a high chance they rage quit when theyre losing and you dont even get reworded for the effort

For those of you who are bored try your hand at making basic custom battles. I made boss battles for the villians with freeslots so i can fight them as whoever want. Theres extra z items there where you can fill out the health bars. So I have broly at 8 bars and at certain percentages he will refill his health and transform. Its a ton of fun.

short answer: no Long answer: I'am not bored with the new release from bandai namco called dragonball sparking zero, as it is a great successor of dragonball budokai tenkaichi 3 game released 17 years ago that made me hope for a new release all those years. The game has good gameplay, good graphics and atmosphere, it has a big roster and everything screams dragonball and powers up with dragonball aura. Most important and underestiamted thing is that if I'll stop playing for a while to mix it up a little, I would be glad to have it ready to play even after years, as it was with budokai tenkaichi 3.
