Stacey really adds a lot to these conversations in terms of the dynamic. She really stands her ground and she's not afraid to challenge opinions or takes, if she feels it is important for the other person to hear her perspective, because she clearly cares. Great talk!

This past weekend i was really struggling with fear of intimacy. As a child, my parents seperated but still lived together, i heard them fight and threaten to kill each other. It trickled down on the siblings. I always wanted to play with my brother, and he would yell at me to leave him alone. We started to fight so much by age 10 or so we just stopped talking. I see im at home and we just dont say anything. I started doing my own healing, and i thought i had my fear of intimacy under control. Though, i met this awesome guy.. he makes me feel safe. I realized now that I still self sabotage bc this weekend i told him that my gut doesnt feel anything for him (but my lady parts and mind do). Anyway, back to the drawing board to do more inner child healing. This episode could not have came at a more perfect time for me, Thank you Big Mood and Stacey for blessing us with you knowledge and vulnerabilities. "I am here with you"

I loved this podcast. Very relatable from everyone's experiences. Yes i...am definately codedependant, for me qhat I experience the most is the pulling back, getting love and affection and then getting all that pulled back which makes me self conscious and in turn makes my partner not want to be around me.

I loved this topic! it made me realize that I was a codependent person in my past relationship. I was completely broken after our break up and was for months after but I started to work on myself and I think I have changed, I have given myself the love I used to provide for everyone else. Working on yourself is so important, this way you can give your best self to others and know that you deserve their best as well. AND stacey's tiktoks have helped me with that hehe

yooooo thank you so much for this episode i really needed it because it helped me realise that i'm extremely codependent too. last weekend i broke up with my partner and there were so many red flags after i ended it, especially the past few days after i found something out. i was willing to give him a chance later in the future because i loved him so so much and couldn't imagine being happy with anybody else but after the past few days, i decided to cut him off completely, which angered him and his narcissism jumped out so quick. now that i don't have those rose coloured glasses anymore, i noticed so many things and now i completely resent him and do not want to talk to him anymore. love yourself before anybody else because otherwise you will hurt more than you love.

Recognizing patterns and cultivating self love. Been struggling w codependency ever since i can remember. Consciously aware of it for the past 7 years. This was such a GREAT episode, I felt like you guys were talking to me and about me and the crazy part is that I didn't even know I was in this kind of relationship. Especially the part about the symptoms, I'm going to try to seek help so I can break these patterns and know how to set boundaries. I can relate to Jess a lot in this, I always subconsciously go for people with drug abuse problems. What an eye opener. Thank you for talking about this.

Wait I have a question though. When Jess said “I’m addicted to heroine so I don’t need/want coffee” like, she wants the hard core stuff and the moderate stuff doesn’t do it for her, HOW tf do you make that switch?! I think I had the heroine for years and now I’m trying to like coffee but it seems less then and not fulfilling. And I mean I’m GENUINELY trying to like the coffee... Anyone relate?

:( does this apply to someone who’s had a rollercoaster life since birth? That’s why I watch a lot of comedy and laugh at anything I find simple but funny. It helps kinda
@Delabpm
@Delabpm 4 жыл бұрын
It could be bc “the heroin” is what you’re used to and what you already know. It takes time to understand how it’s not really healthy or contributing to your self love and growth even tho “the coffee” being what’s actually healthy maybe not as fulfilling since u may still be holding on to whats unhealthy the drama and the back and forth can be addicting to some, some people confuse that w “passion” and what love is about. Im tryna make the switch myself , takes a lot of work but trying to stay humble w the process

So glad Jess brought Codependency up as a topic. I related a lot when Nikki started talking about dating a narcissist. Nikki said, " People were inconsistent with the love they were giving me....Thinking that love was only giving based on doing and not off of just being..". Many people develop this bad habit with guys. I know I sure as hell I did. Like Nikki said, I think relationships can get to the point of guys not wanting to be with us because we (I) needed to please instead of thinking of what makes me happy or what I want for my life. Stacy was dope as well. She does a great job of making sure anyone can understand the topic. All the feels lol. You guys are all dope!
