Sago, another Japanese company, is known for using a P90-single-humbucker on their guitars. In fact that guitar is 33" scale and 29 frets. There is a whole world of Japanese domestic brands that are incredible albeit pricey. Mary Guitars and Stilblu are two that make guitars in somewhat the same vein as Oopegg.

In 1989 I paid around $500.00 (with hard case) for my Ibanez rg570 at a local shop. It was made in Japan and has a US connection as far as finish check and final shipping. I still have it and it's a wonderful guitar with a fantastic neck and great body wood. What is out there now (with HARDWARE that will last for decades) with such quality that is around the same price point considering 2021 economy? A quality working mans guitar was much more well crafted in 1989 over 2021 imo (more bang for your buck). These look and sound amazing....just crazy expensive for the average Joe.
