Small correction - SRF teaches mouth breathing for beginners to help them feel the energy moving up and down the spine. Once they get it, they switch to nasal breathing. Enjoying your channel a great deal.

SRF does not teach nasal breathing in any of its Kriya techniques, not even in the advanced second, third and fourth, only in the Hong So technique which is not part of the Kriya system does it teach nasal breathing.

I thought the Tranquil breath was me just losing track of my breathing, so I’ve just been redirecting back to the breath this whole time 🤦🏻😂

While the Tranquil Breath can come on involuntary to some degree, Kriya Pranayama (if done correctly) makes it come on in a much more noticeable way that coincides with strong pratyahara (internalization).

I was doing all this, without knowing the terms and the chronology of them, but naturally body started doing this as meditation started becoming deeper

That's great to hear! Which Kriya lineage are you part of?

@@ModernKriya I learnt this technique from Ryan Kurzcak , I'm not sure I'm spelling his name correctly, he's a youtuber , then i just practiced it and slowly it all just happened. Kindly share how to know lineage

It looks like Ryan is a student of Swami Kriyananda, founder of Ananda and student of Paramhansa Yogananda. I’ve heard that Ananda teaches a more original version of Yogananda’s Kriya than the one later taught by Self-Realization Fellowship.

@@ModernKriya Thats good, I am aiming for experiencing samadhi sometime. any advice from you on that part of kriya yoga ?

The most important thing is to get into the Tranquil Breath and then into dhyana (absorption). As you become more deeply absorbed in your inner perceptions you may start to merge with them. I did experiment for 60 days. Everyday I did combination of Yoga stretching, QiGong, Kriya breathing before Kundalini Yoga, cold shower, more or less organic food and some other things. In the end I observed a lot of exciting phenomena starting to appear including warm/hot hands that You mentioned, sometimes they felt actually too hot that I was aching to touch something cold to cool them down. I also experienced that I jolted people quite often when touching them and electronic devices kinda acted strange like phones shutting down. I also observed increase in mental abilities like catching other people's thoughts before they act on them or say them out loud.

It sounds like you're noticing some effects from your practice. It can be exciting to make these discoveries that we are more than we appear to be. The one caution I would suggest it to make sure you ground the awakened energy (see my video kzbin.info/www/bejne/jIW5h3yLlJ2opsU) to help avoid kundalini syndrome/kundalini psychosis. If you have any questions about this, let me know.

Very good explanation of the steps to follow with the breathing of Kriya. Do you do the Kumbaka at the end of the inhalation and also at the end of the exhalation? Without controlling its duration like Hong So's breathing?
@ModernKriya Жыл бұрын
@Angelfrancisco scali Kriya pranayama doesn't include kumbhaka. Kumbhaka is used in yoni mudra and some of the higher Kriyas. Typically the breath is held at the top of the inhale. Kumbhaka helps prepare one for the emergence of the Tranquil Breath (breathless state).
