Hi Ketu is a malefic planet and when it is in the same sign as the moon is overpowers it. such ppl are more prone to depressions, introversion of feelings, trying to control emotions which turn on them. Any planet in the same sign as the moon will overpower the emotional states of a person that is why it is much better to have a planet in the sign next to it and the moon alone

I have sun mercury ketu and moon in gemini but the moon is over 10 degrees away, would that help Lada? I do hide my feelings but as I get older I'm less worried about how people will react to them

exceptions are always there, indeed! Something else in the horoscope must be indicating your strong inner balance: if more than three or four other balancing factors are there they will indicate that you have control over the less stable combos :) I am just giving small pieces of the puzzle, but the whole picture has to be seen for the truth. For example a strong saturn on an angle or a strong Sun can offset a weaker Moon, good aspects also harmonize, female signs make one calmer,etc

But Saturn also harms the emotions a lot in the same sign with the Moon-either through the mother or just the person becomes more emotionally starved and find it difficult to connect or open emotionally to others. Across is opposite--180 degrees-which means the 7th sign from the Moon's one, including the Moon's one. or on the 4th from the Moon(including the sign of the Moon) /this can stabilise emotions

I have the Sag moon with Jupiter in Scorpior before and Saturn in Cap after. I do believe things happen for a reason and I have faced a chaotic life with calm acceptance! nope Moon with Rahu is the most ungrounded influence-your emotions can fluctuate a lot! Your life's work is to learn to express healthily emotions and know how to feel them without getting overwhelmed by the drama. I have this position, it is a roller coaster even with no outer drama in my life

Jupiter more so, because Saturn is in the same sign as the Moon, and it is a bit too strong when it is directly in the same sign--it kind of drowns all other influences. But having Jupiter in a neighboring sign is a positive

I happen to have Venus and Jupiter in the preceding sign and Mercury and Mars in the following sign. Your analysis is a good one (true for me at least), but if one is a very emotional person (due to other aspects) their emotions could be grounded, but the reactions could still be emotional. I believe it also depends very much on the Moon sign. A Capricorn Moon is quite different from a Cancer Moon, for instance.

Saturn and Mars are cruel planets and tend to hurt the emotions of the person when in the same sign as the moon, therefore it is much preferable to be in the signs next to the Moon, but thankfully you have your Jupiter there to stabilize you more and give you some more optimistic influence, but still Saturn which is a depressant and mars is a stressful tense influence will have more effect on your emotional state(or the women in your life like the mother can be such)

Hi I have Venus, Mercury, and Jupiter in the House after my moon. Just an example, in a real crisis I’ve always felt driven to do and say things to keep the people around me calm. Also, if someone falls flat on their face in front of me and it’s their own fault, I still feel a need to never ‘kick a dog when it’s down.’ Really, I’m a disaster in so many areas of my life EXCEPT in a crisis. that is a bit harder because Saturn starves the Moon emotionally and makes way too detached and reserved or more pained emotionally. when it is the same sign as the Moon a planet becomes overpowering because it is so strong then! That is the reason it is better to have the planets in the signs next to the Moon.

As a response to your request to answer how I feel these effects in my life or in people's life whose charts I have prepared. Well, I have to tell you that I find this method 100% accurate for my case, I also did it for my Mother and for a person I am in a difficult romantic connection. Their charts as well as mine, just explain everything :-) It is exactly how we work! If you want details for any statistics I would be glad to give you personally. I think one day I will do a research on a higher number of candidates to see the statistics of the accuracy, but I'm sure it will be 100% (which you can't say about personality profiles all the time for example). Emotion regulation in psychology is an interesting subject, I learnt it in the last semester, but I have to mention that it's very far from what vedic astrology can do in matters of making you conscious so you can regulate your emotional behaviour. Wow!!! I'm again and again amazed by Vedic Astrology!

i have no planets around my moon (my moon is in aquarius). i agree with what you said.. but maybe individuals who have stablizing planets next to their moon, are good at being successful materially. i think what im sensing is that those who don't have any buffer planets, maybe can bring more sensitivity to a situation, instead of having an automatic answer. they may be more open to an unusual situation. they may be more tolerant of things such as a person who looks crazy to others, etc.

I have Jupiter in Pisces next to my Aries moon....When something emotionally difficult happens to me it takes me a LONG time to process it. it might take me 3 days and then I'll break down and go into a deep depression cocoon, I allow myself to feel everything, then meditate on it and that process usually gives me peace, understanding and growth from the situation. When my ex cheated on me for example, I asked if he was ok lol I can't feel anything until i know everyone else is ok.

Thanks Lada! Very enlightening, gives insight into why my son is so emotionally stable and resilient. His Sag Mo is surrounded by Cap Mer & Ve in next house and Scorpio Ju in preceding house. He's a very lucky guy, very bright and sociable. I'm more serious cool & detached with Sat Libra in house after my Virgo Mo. Very accurate signposts to look for in someone's chart I'd say.

However I do have Pluto in the same sign as my moon (Scorpio, 12th). But I'm a bit confused. I have a personal birth chart and it says that my Pluto is in the 12th house and my moon is in the 11th. This could one of the most useful things I've learned in astrology. However, I think Saturn will not have a beneficial effect if near the moon. I have Saturn in the house (6) next to my moon (5) and the effect seems very detrimental. It explains most of internal tensions in my life. It gives you a need to have your emotions and needs acknowledged by others sometimes even without having to say them. If not outwardly acknowledged by the other, you will allow them to treat you badly. To the point of unfair cruelty. And you will tell yourself you were "unworthy" of compassion or understanding the whole time. Your self-worth derived from your deep sentiments becomes totally dependent on other people's yay or nay. It's a senseless and sad position. I don't have any aspects that could explain this phenomena and often felt I was an inexplicable doormat but this may be the cause I was looking for all along. And since I have a Pisces Moon to boot, I put up with being disrespected too often and my self-esteem has never been able to recover. The rest, especially Venus, I agree are very good for you. Having an Aquarius Moon is also helpful. xD

Rose Wilde hi, yes Saturn needs not be in conjunction with the Moon or else it hurts it-saturns starves any planet it is conjunct with, but if it is in the next sign(not house and not within 12 degrees of the Moon) then it can help stabilise it

Lada Duncheva My Saturn and Moon are both in Pisces within 18 degrees of each other, not in conjunction. So to be clear, it's the signs and not houses. I have Venus 30 degrees away from the Moon in Aries and given my natural fearfulness instinct, I feel Saturn's shadow on my Moon that isn't receiving positive self worth and calmness from Venus because it has to get through Saturn that's halfway between the two. Saturn and Moon are opposite energies as they rule opposite signs so I think Saturn is PARTICULARLY bad for the Moon.
