I thought I used to be cheap. Some ppl aren't cheap. They're practically disgustingly cheap. I look for bargains. When my husband & I go to restaurants we believe in tipping the wait staff so when we come back they'll be glad to see us. We tip the hotel staff when we travel. We want to be remembered as good customers. I'm very frugal except when it comes to helping others. I shop clearance racks 1st, but I get a lot of compliments on my clothes & shoes. I haven't been to a beauty shop in almost 2 decades but I get compliments on my hair. I tell ppl it's the GOD in me!!!

My husband and I are frugal, we use our resources wisely. We buy good quality in our vehicles, appliances and tools. We have a garden, we grow fruits and vegetables, we heat our home with wood we cut on our farm and we do a lot of DIY projects at home. We don’t pay for expensive haircuts, I cut his hair for him and he trims my hair for me. Never a bad haircut or expensive salon visits. We get compliments on his haircuts and my hair that he braids for me. We are not compromising.
