I don’t think it’s crazy to say ‘goodbye’ to a place u visited or lived or a gravesite of a loved one. In a way it’s like marking a moment, being present, noting it’s significance. Kurt Vonnegut used to do that with simple things. When laughing with someone or having a good cup of coffee, he’d say aloud, ‘ this is a good moment.’ Foley ain’t crazy, he’s a deep, misunderstood man 😂❤
