100% on the nimbus... That and a few other services I don't get requested as often to justify a purchase on my end. As far as those value added services, I mention to the clients I have access to them via "contractors" and when they are interested on those things, I work something out with someone usually another DJ who has the equipment, and i will hire them directly and uncharge (not by much) this way I can provide the service they want, they don't have to deal with shopping around for the service, I don't have to own ir or even more important someone is there to operate it and I can concentrate on DJ'ing.

One of the things I never made my money back on was lighting. In every way , I use the lights to enhance my production but I have not had success just selling someone up lights or any lighting. Now I rather buy Chinese and focus more on sounding good

I've never been able to sell up lights as an add on but they make my presentation look so much better , especially when I am able to control them wirelessly.

On TV's I've NEVER seen the value for weddings. If I ever did TV's, I would have them setup on stand by the door or near the Bar, not on the DJ furniture or stands... I think TV's would be Great for Corporate events only. For corporate events I think it would be a great up-sale, however I would not purchase unless I was doing a lot of Corporate

I totally agree about TVs. I haven't used mine in over a year. I have a request for one coming up but I don't see me using them very often other than that. I'm going to keep one but I'm getting rid of the others. I also hope to never have to do the dancing on the clouds effect again. Too much work especially as a single op.

I have and some... Investing does not stop on just gear. Put the money you make at events plus tips into a High Yield Savings account, IRA or CD. I make almost $800 a month on interest alone which helped pay off gear. I'm watching your video right now and getting paid making my money work for me brotha.
