Being knowledgeable on your business is not micromanaging. That’s just good business. Micromanaging is when you hire smart people to do a job and then you don’t allow them the space to do it because you are too prescriptive on how it is to be done. Even though you have already admitted you are not the best person to do it. So I have been listening to this podcast and you do not strike me as a micromanager at all :) Also: just opened my first pop up. Not only am I a very small Shopify investor (Motley Fool says it’s a stock to own after all) But I am also a Shopify customer now. So I am doubly engaged in this content :)❤

It is crazy just how humble he is going into the interview! You've got two powerhouses with Hormozi entering the billion arena soon and then a 12 figure business owner already. The biggest takeaway among other takeaways is the cost of failure now compared to other times. If you fail at something 200 years ago with starting a business, its over. Now, it is the exact opposite with you being able to recover from it. One gold nugget in a sea of gold nuggets!

Important Nuggets I got for Harley: 1. Encourage influencers to become the users of your product so that they can promote it naturally to their audience. Paying them to do so no longer works as much. 2. Micro-management is still needed even when the employees number grows to 100 or more because little things still matter. 3. Create economies of scale by providing extra required services to your users. 4. Create more opportunities for your partners in the ecosystem, and make them even richer than you. 5. Make your TAM to be a complete pie not a part of the pie.

I loved this video! It was super inspiring to hear Harley’s journey. One big takeaway for me is how important it is to focus on solving real problems instead of chasing trends. His idea that the cost of failure is getting so low now is wild! It means anyone can try starting a business without risking it all. Also, I really liked when they talked about being authentic. It’s cool to see how being yourself can lead to finding amazing opportunities and connecting with others. Lastly, building great partnerships seems crucial. It’s not just about doing everything on your own; teaming up with the right people can really take things to the next level. Can't wait to see how these ideas shape my own journey!
