I love the speech titled "All the world's a stage" by Shakespeare, definitely look it up if you haven't come across it before!
I love this speech because it reveals that all of life is a stage, and there are many different stages that we step onto every day, as a; father, husband, wife, friend, son, daughter, entrepreneur etc.
I used to bring the biggest version of myself as an entrepreneur and then bring the smallest version of myself home to my family. I've since learnt that the most important stage for me right now in life is the parenting stage - this small shift in thinking has changed the way I show up as a husband and father.
The point I really hope to get across with this video is.. Don't just give the smaller version of you all the stage time - remember to give the bigger version of you stage time as well. Which ever stage you want to apply this thinking to is up to you 🙂 Don't let the smaller version of you hog all the stage time!

When I started as a teacher, Ig suggested me your videos and I try being more expresive with my body. Then I noticed the more I open my body, the more my students follow me. Nowadays I walk the whole classroom while I explain and it's incredible how connected they are in comparison to the beggining. Your advices works, thanks for sharing! Good vibes from Argentina 🙌🏼

I guilty of the fact that I only use my smaller self almost everywhere... And now I will try my best to bring out my bigger self too to the stage of my life.

I've been debating this concept for a while now, and it's true. We bring the part of ourselves that's "less likely to cause conflict or seem obnoxious" to the forefront whilst the leader in us lays dormant like a beautiful German Shephard tied to a pole. As you said, it's actually showing the bigger part of us that inspires others. And perhaps it is a crime to let the German Shephard within all of us stay chained up, looking on, desperately hoping for a chance to run free and live. To embracing the discomfort of breaking that chain, breaking the mold 🍻😉!

Love how you emphasise that it’s not about being the bigger version of ourselves 24/7 but instead oscillate between all the versions of us and adapt to our environments. Very healthy and sound advice. 👌🏻👌🏻

I decide to reset my life due to too many negatives so I started over but with something I wanted instead of what everybody else wanted for me, I put myself in art school for illustration/animation. I’ve been drawing most of my life and have been working on being my more authentic self in public through life experiences and jobs..now at this school I’m 36 n everyone is much younger and shy. I feel mostly like a little fish in a big pond there and kind of lost so I’m working on speaking up more and getting back to being more true to myself one day at a time and it’s starting to get better..thank you for all the content keep crushing it!!

well, i work on a shop floor in retail in the uk and im pretty good at my job as im very confident with customers face to face and handling sales etc. but ive wanted to find a side hussle which i found in making beats to license online to sell for artists. i love making beats but i weirdly demotivate myself when im the creator. when i watch these content creators in my field and professionals i see how they bring such a natural talent to the table i feel like i struggle to find my "mojo" when creating. i always feel like ive been a creative person and the idea of producing for artists massively inspires me. its just that my problem is, this outgoing self in retail does not show up when i am home and im trying to start up a business. i feel like i fall into a shell and i often linger around and i feel guilty for not producing enough as i think i should to get to the top. i read some books for instance, the master key, and 48 laws of power and mastery and i feel motivated to put my energy towards things i desire and inspire to be. when it comes to putting in the work and being a content creator so that i can get my name out there i feel demotivated because its a big step to me in my eyes but on the other hand i know its something that just needs to be done and that i think deeply about the things and i sike myself out of doing the things i need to do.

Interesting you should ask. When I’m on the metaphorical stage that’s physically in front of people I can rather easily be the bigger version but I’ve found it’s a lot more difficult to do over video conferencing and screen sharing as I think I need to be stationary and not blow out other people ears. It’s hard to hype yourself up when you need to remain in a chair connected to a mouse rather than a poster board using my hands to gesticulate . 6:47

Understand you 100 % but then I realised: video conferencing as you describe it is basically the same setting as Vinh has in many of his videos as well as in this one. See how he sits in a chair at his desk? The only difference is: he increased the distance to the camera so that you can see his gestures.

I still don't understand the small/big version of oneself and it wasn't explained later on in the video, so this made it quite frustrating to watch. It's sort of confident and loud and extraverted, but that still doesn't seem like the right description.
