Are you Promiscuous?

Contrary to what many people believe, marriage is not the cure to sexual promiscuity. If you never develop a sexual discipline for yourself as a single person than marriage won’t change anything. There is not a magic switch that you hit when you get marriage that makes the desires go away or that will cause you to be disciplined in your behavior. You must be willing to practice what you want to perform. In a marriage there are ebbs and flows of sexual desires. One partner maybe in the mood the other partner may not. One partner may have a higher sexual drive than the other. This can be frustrating situation alone however to a person that has not learned how to discipline their sexual desires; it’s a recipe for disaster. If you can’t discipline yourself as a single person, what makes you think you can when you’re married? If you are promiscuous than you should learn how to discipline yourself before you start thinking about marriage.
Sexual promiscuity is not just a issue sex. Many times sexual promiscuity and sexual addictions are the result of undressed issues in a person that have manifested in a sexual nature. There may be issues of abandonment, low self-esteem, traumatic child hood issues, molestation, parental issues etc. Many times when people have these type of unresolved issues they turn to sex as a form of copping, masking and covering up the real issue. Sexual addictions are real and can ruin a person’s life. However when you are married its not just one life anymore. You now are connected to a person; and that person is connected to other people, like friends, family, colleagues etc. You could go from damaging one life to destroying a community and legacy of people.

I cried while watching this. Truth hurts. I was an easy woman as a young adult. I will never forgive myself for what I did to my body. I was molested as child and it led me to a dark path. I pray now that my past doesn’t haunt me anymore.
