I love Dr Gottman, so much humility and an open mind, respect and devotion to dr Julie! True love is making effort for the other, not some magic mystery

Excellent advice! How to rebuild a healthy sense of this for those who have been conditioned through abuse to believe everything is their fault, though? I have this issue, because when I was a child, my parents blamed me for all their problems and abuse of me. It lead to me not ever considering that the other person might actually be the problem, or even abusive. I know I'm not the only one who struggles with this problem. Therapy has helped, but it makes advice like this hard to put into practice without going back into the unhealthy self blaming pattern. So suggestions would be helpful.

If the 4 horseman of the relationship apocalypse were incorporated into this video, it would hit the nail right on the head! kzbin.infoYFit5q1Al7o?si=LtFaGBnwoRe7mOzW

*All* interpersonal relationships have an 8 foundation 🙂↕️ and conflict is the *murderer* of affection and respect with the Cashier, your Mum and the Spouse. Refuse to allow resentment to stack up like bricks 🧱
