Can I please ask what dampener you have on the snare? Sounds great. I see you are using the Dialtune a lot these days! :) It sounds wonderful.

Hey! I have the M80 Snareweight on the dialtune snare. It's a really nice dampener and has magnets that you can fold the left, right or both flaps in, depending on the amount of dampening you need. Also, the Dialtune snare is great! Super versatile, especially if I need to change tunings quickly for these KZbin lesson. HEAVY drum though!

Soo tasteful. I love it. For me these kinds of fills always ends before they start to sound as they should. I usually can get them down slowly on the snare, but never up to speed, and never ever orchestrated before they fall apart.
@JuanCarlitoMendoza
@JuanCarlitoMendoza 20 сағат бұрын
You don’t have to play them fast for them to be effective. Just take them slow and try to incorporate one fill a week into your playing. You’ll be surprised that you actually do have it in you. 😉

You have created an information overload where nothing gets attained or achieved when you race through your instructional lessons
@JuanCarlitoMendoza
@JuanCarlitoMendoza 14 сағат бұрын
Again this maybe overload for YOU. I can’t please everyone and it’s impossible to do and and don’t try to anymore. Honestly, Just take what you can or want from It and then create your own variations. That’s what I do with any video I view. I take what I can from it and then work on it, then create my own variations.

You could be more specific about what’s going over your head in order to get the help you’re looking for but it sounds like you need more beginner level instruction which is ok. Even some of the most advanced players wouldn’t get this stuff right away.

You seem to be throwing out way too much info in your instructions and-moving way too fast with the instructions you seem to be teaching to people that already know what you’re talking about instead of teaching people that are trying to learn what you’re talking about. I hope that makes sense. in other words, you’re assuming that everybody learns at your pace and that’s not true and you’d be more much more effective if you slow down your delivery of instructions
@JuanCarlitoMendoza
@JuanCarlitoMendoza 14 сағат бұрын
Honestly, in this digital world, I can’t please Everyone. Everyone learns at their own pace, but the beauty of KZbin is you can slow down the video, take it at your own pace and download the PDF file. I never said the lesson will take you 15 minutes to learn. What I try and do is give people quality content that they can work at their own pace. I don’t like to give “microwave” instruction. You just have to do the work at your own pace. Hope that helps.

you have a great point. But, I believe his demonstrations and explanations are clear and suffice. The demonstrations can be slowed down with the youtube player in case one needs to hear and see the demo slower. But still, you are correct that we all learn at a different pace.
@JuanCarlitoMendoza
@JuanCarlitoMendoza 14 сағат бұрын
Absolutely. Everyone works at their own pace. If I slow things down too much (which is subjective) then the audience will say please speed this up. I can go into super super details, like touch and how to adjust certain things, but people don’t have patience for that in the digital world. If I was teaching a private lesson I adjust my pacing and detail to each specific student, but when you’re teaching essentially the world you can’t gauge everyone’s pace.
