Even a work visa is enough to start enjoying a new tax residency and as a native English speaker a teaching job is a few clicks away and you can jam all your cash into bootstrapping your business or bag holding your asset column. Not sure how that works for Americans, but for me I’m all g but getting the residency/citizenship is the real goal

15% taxes would already be amazing for most entrepreneurs around the world. Me for instance, I am in Belgium and moving soon to Brazil ... 2 heavily taxed countries, way over 15%.

As a Brazilian, I'm curious about why are you moving to Brazil. We're so heavily taxed and have a so overcomplicated tax system and so much bureocracy!
@TechDaddyFr

@@enzonavarro8550 In Belgium, we are taxed way heavier than you are in Brazil. Belgium is the 3rd most taxed country in the world. So while Brazil isn't a tax haven by any means, going from Belgium to Brazil is a huge improvement regarding taxes. And also my wife is Brazilian, I already lived 1 year in the Nordeste in 2017-2018 and spent the best year of my life there. While I am not a big fan of the safety issues, there is a lot to love in Brazil. Brazilians tend to be very negative about their own country and think that Europe and the US are sooooo much better. But reality is that there are issues everywhere and unless you make the jump of moving somewhere for an extended period of time, your opinion isn't worth much. A lot of Brazilians that I know in Europe are missing Brazil a lot and think of going back.

What angers me most about these rich countries, is that they simply _don't understand the problem_ ... I have NO problem paying tax, as long as I feel it's being spent fairly well. My problem, is with countries over-spending, ruining the economy, lying to the people, and then destroying our freedoms in the name of Saint Greta of Thunberg.

When their blatant lack of accountability to the people whom they tax farm requires you as a civic minded person to divest out of principle, they defacto criminalise the most conscientious people they have. At that point you know you just have to leave and hope incentives will be realigned with reality, respect and sanity

Andrew you miss cost of living rent and housing prices. What’s the point to move to Dubai or Singapore when you spend around 50,000€\$ per year for housing food and else . Not to mention lawyers tax consultants and car/ gas . It’s bait and switch , going at 0 and ending with 9 to 20% in taxes

It's not about zero taxes. States / jurisdictions do provide a service, no doubt. It is that Caesar's share should not rise above a certain percentage. What percentage exactly is hard to say, depending on circumstances, but anything above a total of 25% for Caesar is getting ... well, there needs to be a very good reason to involuntarily part with more.

Hi NC, thanks for another great video! If you dont mind, i have a question about spanish citizenship that I haven't found the answer to online... My grandfather is going to be getting spanish citizenship by descent and, since I have a latin american citizenship, that means I can apply for spanish citizenship after just 1 year of living in spain. I know spain doesnt allow dual citizenship unless you're a citizen of their past colonies and some other countries, so I won't need to choose which citizenship to keep *but*, because I'm in the process of getting italian citizenship by descent (through another side of the family), Im wondering whether spain will accept triple citizenship in my case, considering I'd get my italian citizenship first. I know things are complicated and not always black and white, but any guidance or ideas would be much appreciated! Love you guys' videos!

@MuzzaHukka oh dang, thanks for the info! I was aware of the 1 year grandfather thing. My wording was ambiguous, though. What you said was super interesting. So you don't *technically* have to renounce your other EU citizenships unless you only move to other countries using your spanish passport?

I am italian, i've read that our passport is stronger (just a little bit better than the Spanish one), why would you need two European citizenship? just get the easiest one and work towards another in another place of the world, i don't think having both Spanish and Italian will give you any real advantage, the passport are almost the same power, the EU decides what they have to do, nationally they are very similar and heavily taxed, spain has been a little bit more "open" during covid, but at the end of the day the countries are very similar (my girlfriend is Spanish so i know what I'm talking about )

What about the Cayman Islands? Are they also a tax haven? What if I’m not a high income earner, are these tax havens still available for me to use?
@IOMMatt
@IOMMatt 8 ай бұрын
If you’re not a high net worth and high income person then Cayman probably won’t work for you. Property prices, rents and living costs are very high (typically double the UK or US equivalents) There is a 20% duty on imported goods (including freight costs) so with other fees a $500 online purchase from the US could cost you $1,000 by the time you receive it. So you may be paying no tax on income but the extra costs can wipe out the benefit unless you’re a higher earner.
@DebyColes

@@IOMMatt Agreed Matt. We've been here 17+ years and the low taxes are very much offset by the extreme cost of living unless you are a very high earner. We've been here on minimum wage jobs, and its not sustainable anymore. Leaving soon....will miss all of our friends.

@@IOMMattThe cost of living is roughly the same as NYC or Silicon Valley. I pay 0% for all my import duties related to my business in Cayman’s special economy zone. A $1,000USD purchase costs me $1,000USD plus shipping, no tax. I have no idea why this channel/company is so blissfully unaware of Cayman’s advantages for even small (successful) businesses.
