They had a double dragon arcade at my local too. That intro scene scrambled my six year old mind.

Great video, I like the mention of Varth. That's a fun shooter and a marathon.

It looks pretty nice, I think I understand where you're coming from when you say it hits the right buttons with the visuals and music. When I try Area 88 it's going to be the English version because I want to know what they say in those little interludes; I don't think it's in Capcom Arcade Stadium but Varth is and I think it's pretty cool.

@@rodolfaso6750 Dude I love Varth! And yeah I would just play the English version I dont know why I was playing the Japanese one haha

If you are from South Jersey do you have some good boardwalk arcade memories? I remember all the arcade machines they had on the Wildwood boardwalk pre2000.
@TheHiddenFortress815 күн бұрын
Dude Yes! Wildwood was the shit! Ocean City was my spot. Maaaaan...there was an arcade on every block.... :) thank you for bringing that back just now dude :)
@johnt73725 күн бұрын
Yeah Wildwood was our spot. Way back in the day I used to play Champion Baseball that’s my first arcade memory there. When Street Fighter and NeoGeo came out they were my jams on the boardwalk. Used to play Outrun 2 in Cape May when that came out too. Not sure where you live now but Wonderland Pier in OC closed after this season. They’re keeping the Ferris Wheel but it’s going to be a hotel now I think

@@TheHiddenFortress81yeah AC had a great arcade up until 2000 in the Boardwalk Mall. They’ve actually opened up a few new arcades in the city at the casino the past few years

@ So when I was 9 we moved to LA. LA was amazing for arcades. And now just recently I moved to just outside of Philly. I remember an arcade that was awesome in The Showboat casino in the late 90s…I remember that prop cycle game….such awesome memories I wanna go back hah

I sort of like the concept capcom was aiming at with the burst autofire. I always thought games should have had some sort of burst shot that fires at a super fast rate, like maybe 60Hz. Cave's autofire sort of does that, but since we don't really tap fire anymore it's a bit irrelevant now.
@TheHiddenFortress819 күн бұрын
@@MotWhinnana I can dig that. When I was playing Varth honestly I got used to it and kinda started to like it
