Hello, Ramsey. Thank you for this great livestream and fragrance comparisons with OG 🥳 Congratulations to Russian Adam, it’s a very successful collection. I enjoy all 5 of them. I definitely get similarities between ROII and Oud Zhen. Oud Zhen is a lot more smoky, it’s spicier, more animalic and has more Oud, it’s more deep composition to my nose. I really enjoy dark chocolate in ROII and it’s dry down is very beautiful. When we first sprayed Walimah II in our video, I immediately got vibes from Bortnikoff Oud Monarch (magnolia with a touch of cacao and oud) and L’Heure Exquise (Champaka with cacao). It’s interesting that you also mentioned Champaka from L’heure Exquise👌 Love Walimah II, to us it’s the best from this Classics collection. I have Oud Monarch with wooden cap and it’s absolutely amazing to my nose. L’Heure Exquise in Attar is so deep and rich, love it. Have a great weekend. Cheers 🍹☀️ Dmitry

I am late to this game, but loving it, Thanks a lot for the truth and education you are spreading. Time: 1:51:42 "If I could have picked one bottle from Areej La Dore.. it would be Ottoman Empire" . So Ottoman Empire it is. I got myself a v4 of it, loved it. Paid a small premium for an almost new bottle with packaging. This stuff is something unique. Tried Russian Oud but not worth the premium people are asking for, Instead went for Bortnikoff Lao Oud, similar yet some difference. Thank You Once gain.

I smell clear similarity between RO1 and Bortnikoff LAO oud. I like LAO better so didn't even bother with RO2. Got Walimah 2 tho. Ram you need to give a chance to Feel Oud de grand. I know you were disappointed with oud balsam and rightfully so. But Oud de Grand is a very good jasmine fragrance. My prediction it is gonna be similar story as with Walimah I and II - nobody cares while it's up for grabs for 2 years, and when it's gone suddenly everyone goes crazy.

A comment about Brandon and his whereabouts caught my eye,and I have long pondered the same question,however something on the Devilsh Scents latest video on GS01 by Biehl perfumes ,a commenter asked Darren the Devil the same question and his answer may well shed light on probably what has become on Brandon and his disappearance from the fragrance public eye ?? Antiquity is my first love from Areej. I only have 15ml left. I’m searching for a full bottle of Antiquity as well. And a partial of Indolis. Malik Al Taif is another I absolutely love so much . Need a full bottle

For Chinese Oud 2, once you get past the initial phase, it becomes only slightly different from the OG. The History of Chinese Oud had more funk than the OG’s oud…but once the other blankety ingredients take over, the same drydown results. I agree with what Adam said in his video, part 2 is the closest to the OG out of all of this collection. My only caveat is to add ‘after the top/initial blast’ it is closest to the OG.

I finally got to sniff Ottoman Empire III - well-blended, smooth. The rose and oud are very nice but almost understated. The sandalwood is of the HIGHEST quality, my goodness. I get a boozy note in here, although maybe it's the spices in here that I also smell in the booze I drink. The drydown is this beautiful sandalwood/rose that sits close to the skin, and this is what I think Santal Galore should've smelled like (I don't like Santal Galore, I think the durian note ruins the whole affair). I just wish it projected a bit more, but I love it.

Damn it... missed rhe live🤦‍♂️ I'll make sure not to miss the next live though🤞 Even though I have my issues with current ALD direction (milking the hype train 'near copy n paste' imo) I was still going to purchase RO2, but timing is bad as a fellow collector I know is down sizing and just too good an opportunity to miss... just picked up backups of Dior homme silver stem, Pure Tonka, Mona Di Orio cuir (OG bottle) Chanel Bois Noir, but best of all some great Tom Fords... gentleman Extreme, Ombre16, Sahara noir and the unicorn 2007 TF Bois Rouge!

Ram, do you have a preference on OE4 vs Creme de la Creme? I've never smelled OE4 but I'm considering a trade because CdlC is my least favorite of the musks. I'm hoping for something more intense/challenging.

If you have smelled any of the of OE series they all smell the same... they are totally different fragrances but OE is more my jam, but that being said I still liked CDLC

Yeaaah having at least a sample set would be great! I wouldn't splurge on this collection blindly, though I would love to smell them all. Though the other thing made my day recently. I have met a lady that collects perfume bottles and she's been doing it for more than 30 years. She has invited me to her place to have a look and I had a chance to smell some of them, like deep vintage stuff that's not even in the databases. I have picked up a few things from her including a mini of some unknown but absolutely divine deep dark leathery fragrance. I bet there's a sh* t load of castoreum in there. Not sure if I'll just wear it one day or send it for GCMS analysis. It was a revelation! She has many of original baccarat bottles of perfumes that Roja was bragging about in his perfume history talk, like the highest end Dior, Guerlain, Molinard, you name it. Even the original baccarat crystal Le Roy Soleil by Schiaparelli in the oyster box. It was an incredible experience! I have also smelled a lot of frags that you have mentioned on this channel, so definitely levelled up my nose lolololll
