​@orewaren8549 Yeah, if you give it like a lifetime to do it. You know about the ai program set to learn through playing a Pokémon game? It's been at it for I believe like almost a year if not more and it hasn't left the first town yet. AI training, to produce truly good results, would take more time than GTA6, ES6 and FO5 to get developed. Maybe even add in the dev cycle for KH3 in there too.

I must say that I'm definitely more interested in the game now compared to the first reveal. Seems like a real mobile Monster Hunter game. But I do have a few worries: 1. The mention of "a cast of characters" instead of avatars. This makes me think theyre going to do a gacha for 'heroes.' Not only is that likely going to exclude any armor hunting or customization, that likely means the weapon types will be locked to the characters as well. If that happens, what is the "survival" aspect going to entail if we aren't hunting for our own gear? Just stat upgrades? 2. The fact it's on a phone. They would be wise to release a PC client, because I'm not trying to make my phone go nuclear in the middle of the day. I'd even take a Switch release over that.

I’m sure you can still collect things from natural resources and monsters to craft things as usual. The only difference is that they might limit your farming with stamina or something similar. Then you can either wait for the stamina to refill like a peasant F2P players or pay to speed things up and unlocks all kinds of benefits like a chad whale!💸

I reckon crafting armour and weapons will have waiting times and you can speed up the process with gems or whatever. The further into the game you get, the longer the wait gets when you craft it

Cautiously optimistic! Though my biggest hope is the inevitable Switch 2 spin off game takes from this and also goes a open world survival route, so we can have a version of this not bound by the trappings (and something we can have offline) in the future. Like IDK if I want survival stuff in a mainline game (I'm excited for this, so I can be convinced), but I'd love it in another spin off by the Rise/Generations team.

As long as it’s not one handed swiping, there is controller support and you aren’t only given one dodge with a 10 second cool-down, I’ll be down for this day one. Rangers of oblivion proved you could make a semi competent monster hunter like on mobile and this looks waaay better than that.

just because the devs are fans of monster hunter doesnt make it a game to gush about, mobile games it comes down to monitisation and artificial limitations placed on people to gate content. if the monitisation is crap then the game will be crap. With wilds releasing soon and this mobile game is "coming soon" they will be competing for players, all ill say is that the monitisation of this mobile game needs to be spot on to retain playerbase and as few limitations on hunts as possible for example most chinese games have a stamina systems and Tencent/TiMi is based in china.

Survival in the monhun world is gonna have a much different context to normal mon hun. All hunt are issued by the guild against problematic individuals and the hunter are sanctioned on top of being well supported, supplied. There is an entire logistic chain behind the main character. . This is gonna be called monster poacher if you can just go out and hunt what you see and is not on an expedition

That's how it is with most "spin-off" titles in the series at base launch. Frontier had Dos monsters, Explore had 3U monsters, and Online had Frontier monsters. Now and Outlanders have mostly World monsters likely because the games began development only a year or two after World's launch.

They already have the assets that they could just port from World and Rise into this mobile game, so it just makes things easier. Lazier but easier. Besides, World being the most popular title and a gateway for many new fans, I can understand them wanting to use familiar monsters to attract the World crowd. I can guarantee you that the trailer would alienate a lot of players if they show off other monsters from the older games on PS2, PSP, Wii U, etc.

No, it was the Barroth Lance. A lot of time the Lances do that where they are like an umbrella, in that it has sliding mechanism that makes it start small when closed, and long when open. Gunlances don't have a slide mechanism, more so one that makes it look like the hinge on a door. Or like a double barrel shotgun, it swings.

I like how they kept using the term “combat companion” and avoid any reference to games like Genshin when another MonHun veteran already checked the game’s official tweet that confirms there will be a “switchable character system”. That sounds like Genshin to me. LOL Also, the Outlander characters totally look like they’re straight out of Wuxia media😂. But hey, I’ll take these colourful characters over the modern, grey brown bunch. Anyway, I’m down for this. I like MonHun, I like Zelda, I like building stuff, I played Genshin before and there are aspects that I like, so now it’s all down to the final product’s performance and how harsh the micro-transaction will be.

I don't think any Monster Hunter game after 4 counts as a sequel. It's not like they have a connected story or recurring characters other than Aiden. Almost every game is in a different part of the world, with different people and monsters.

The only think I like, is that it seems they gave original designs for Pukei Pukei's bow and Kulu Ya-Ku's DB. I really hope they will implement them in Wilds. I will give it a try nontheless :)

If it comes out that the playable character is obtained through gambling then it'll be a hard pass, I don't really mind rolling for NPC companions since I can just play solo, but if the game has an egregiously anti-fun hunt time limit like Now which can only be beaten with better companions I'll be really sad. I think everyone would prefer a $20 mobile spin-off like Stories but with traditional Monster Hunter combat. I REALLY don't enjoy the touch controls of Now or the gameplay restrictions that direct you to the cash shop.

The thing I’m most worried about is the weapons. If this game is going to be launched post Wilds, which is most likely, are they going to use the Wilds weapon moves? They have made huge changes on some of the weapons in Wilds. It would be very jarring to play Wilds and Outlanders at the same time, if you’re using the same weapon.

@@jikkithesneaky i know that there are beasts out there but not everybody is willing to spend a lot on mobile phones in order to play a free game that you don't know, what paywalls it has. my xiaomi 12Tpro could probably run it but not at max and even if youd buy the newest asus thats 1500 dollars by the time the game comes out there is a newer better phone and another will be released in a few years or sooner anyway. it's just insane, at least with a pc you're certain that it'll stay relevant for 5-10 years

From what i see what the gacha system will look like there will be an exclusive char with their own armor , because the green bow char is like a new style pukei" Set maybe and the gunlance/lance is barroth ish armor that only he can have it plus theres a new kulu ya ku ish dual blade I think that's a great idea so we can use the exclusive char with their own story to hunt or maybe grind on our own Just a theory but i think we will get a positif feed back from dev team about it later Like in the rise they dont use hunters armor that we craft but have their own armor , maybe we can get a layered armor by event to ❤❤
