@@OMDolton84 if I'm honest, it's not a lot of change, it has a floating barrel, but because of the handguard it's harder to oil the gas parts. But the sling loop on it makes it more flexible. I think it's ok, but mostly because it's something new.

Ares are notoriously meh. Their l85a3 also has very few positive reviews, this being the only video ive seen that is positive on it. Stick with your ICS a2, and if you want an A3 look, get an angry gun a3 rail and spray the metal to match the a3

Love the H&K style iron sights that it comes with, I enjoyed using them a lot on my VFC HK416A5. Also the handguard is reminiscent of the one on HK416A7, a 416 variant not available to airsofters yet. As a H&K lover this is the bullpup that I would definitely opt for (coincidentally the real steel L85 is also upgraded by H&K)

Ngl l85 is probs the only bullpup I would voluntarily choose over some 'classic' rifle and same goes for airsoft, and maybe desert tech mdr(x).

Idk but i have the feeling ares guns just hate me. My 1st Ares was a Scar L, the hop up chamber broke and i have no idea where to get another one. Then i bought a M4 and on the first game it keeps on jamming and well barrel was damaged. So for me so far Ares kinda hates me or sth.

Having used the A1 while serving, I absolutely despise the thing…I even refuse to use them when playing FPS games! That being said…this actually looks pretty good. The basic operation is the same as the original, the hold-open catch works, the safety and mag catch seem solid, and it ‘should’ fit an original (A1) sling. I’m slightly tempted, but we’ll see after I get my RA Tech M14 gbb.

Not in any way. The L85 is a magazine fed rifle not a belt fed SAW/LMG. It is the equivalent to an M4 or M16.

Off topic question but my gun uses the same batteries as this and when I charge them fully and get three green lights on the charger , if I plug it straight back in I get three red lights again straight away is my battery not charging or is this a fault, as they go green again eventually and the same thing happens anyone have any idea? I presumed if I took it out after going green if I plugged it back in they should still be green and not charge . The batteries are brand new aswell not even played a game with them yet

No, you need a UKARA permit or similar. Or you can get it with no permit, but the colour will be different. Google UKARA

Got this from Land Warrior and it failed and they will not uphold the warranty, despicable service considering its 3 weeks old and I'm brand new to Airsoft. Left a horrible taste in my mouth especially after spending over £1000 with them. It has a 15cm inner barrel inside it, after comparing to two other owners and it should a 51cm inner barrel. That amongst a chopped super tight spring, steel tooth broken off and a piston cap sheared off. It never fired straight and Ares and Land Warrior never responded to my email. Abysmal and I'll probably walk away from a sport I was starting to enjoy, especially as it takes me back to days in the service.
