I always referred to it at loading the shot, pressing against the neck to aid in the "flick" at the end. As far as great gliders Michael Carter should be watched he ended up in the NFL but you watch how fast he got his right leg under him it was exceptional. I was lucky enough to be taught by a very knowledgeable guy who a few time during sessions had to take a phone call from Mac Wilkins...... Mac was asking him for advice

I think first timers found a different vid to watch. One in which the speaker actually pauses once in awhile, slows down and doesn't flood it with irrelevant information. There's good stuff here, but it doesn't need to include a half dozen "what-ifs" when explaining what to do.

@monkeys88j3 жыл бұрын
Definitely see if you can look into a smaller shot that would still fit NFHS standards, so it's more form fitting to your hand size. That will help compensate the size ratios, being a shorter guy myself and having smaller hands than some of the 9th grade girls I currently coach, a smaller shot has helped me provide more push behind a smaller shot
@stevespyder3 жыл бұрын
@@monkeys88j Well now that I am 60, I am using the 5kg shot which is smaller, but I actually like using the bigger shot for some reason. Maybe that extra few millimeters that it is farther from my neck seems to make a difference.
