My doctor said, “oh your HBP meds seem to be working well”. I said, “I never took them”, he with a 🫤 confused look, “oh, what happened?” I told him that I’m eating low carb. He was still a bit confused but said, “well, keep doing what you’re doing”. I couldn’t bring myself to tell him that I eat Carnivore. I didn’t think he could handle that just yet.

When you eventually tell your doctor, you can also tell him you're not the only one... I dropped my BP Meds on day 1 and when I finally checked my BP again on the 46th day Carnivore, my BP was 119/79. Previously, without Meds, it was at the upper 180s/109 & with Meds it was in the 140s/90s.

I basically told my doctor the same thing - "Super low carb 'Ketoish'". When she saw my A1c drop to 5.6 AND I was properly fasted (12-14 hours) for labs in the afternoon - Her response was 'I'm impressed!' Bonus - 155.4 this morning... 100 pounds down!

I just finished my 90 day challenge Carnivore. One night late February I "happened" across Dr Ken Berrys LIVE. He challenged us to watch 90 day Carnivore on KZbin. I did! I told my husband I'm gonna do this & he laughed. 2 weeks later he told me he was surprised I stayed on Carnivore. Then we went over to Shipshewana Indiana & he told me, It looks like your butt is falling off! Well, I started at 243. 90 days later 218 & down 2 sizes. Truly, my butt is falling off!! LOL I'm NOT turning back! THE BEST IS YET TO COME!!!

I have psoraisis and arthritis. I'm right handed and was having chronic arthritic pain in the joint between my lower thumb and palm. I was having a hard time using my right hand. After being on the Carnivore Diet and no sugar for one week my joint pain had diminished greatly! Today...no joint pain at all! Had severe white noise in my ears...that's almost gone. The psoraisis isn't gone yet but less itching. I think it's going to take a while since I've had it since I was 21 and am now 65. Not giving up...staying true to my health and my Carnivore diet.

Skin issue tend to be b2 and biotin. Best source of b2 I believe is eggs. So start eating like 6 yolks with your steak, just dip the steak in it. Do let me know if it works. My husband had it also but not as long as you. I put him on a 6 eggs a day for a year and it was gone, now if he stops eating eggs it comes back. He can now skip a day or so of eggs but he has to always eat them. I think it a sign he has a methylation (sp?) issue with b2. I said yolk cuz don't know if u allergic to the whites, if not take both together, but most have issue with whites and don't know it. For the yolks i just put 3 yolks to a cup and poach...with butter ;) Just need to warm them slightly. Good luck it awful stuff!

Buy the cheap fatty cuts nobody wants because "fat is bad for you" Scotch fillet / rib eye is 50 a kilo in my currency I got through 5kg a week at $20 a kg of the unwanted cuts. Some people go through alot more. However I'm 6 foot 1 and 64kg approx 130lbs. Never been better ^_^ Total spend 100 new zealand dollars per week. + 16 for a tub of electrolyte powder.

@@rcristy It's an absolute life saver especially through keto flu. I've also at times had a scoop of pre workout to dump caffeine etc in on those adaption days. The electrolytes are the brains fuel for the electricity. Ensure you keep em topped up. Can also get toe cramp from lack of magnesium. So electrolytes also come into play here. Some bacon and eggs is also a great way to break up the monotony. One last suggestion would be to avoid processed table salt. Pink salt has the minerals you need in it and tastes better. Hope something there helps you out.

@@caroline4323 I did that initially and as delicious as it was I couldn't justify it. These days I'm just not phased and eating really nice flavourful food just isn't so much of a factor for me personally. Throw it in the pan eat and continue on my day. Without carbs I don't crave the intense flavor so much of things anymore. Of course it's all each to their own and some people add more things so it isn't so hyper restrictive etc. However as I covered in my previous replies it makes it alot more viable for people to know the cheaper cuts also do the job. I swear my butcher loves me for buying the cuts with an inch of fat around the edge nobody wants lol

Why do you think Jesus fed people with bread? Even in the old testament, the feast of unleavened bread is commanded. During the passover they were commanded to eat bitter herbs. Why? The grain and wine offerings were also so important. Was the creator wrong? The holy loaves in the temple were for the priests and family. Was the creator misinformed? I think there may be more to this equation...

It was great to hear Dr. Chaffee state we HAVE to raise more animals or the earth will die out. This goes hand in hand with survival of the human species and ecosystems. For those who can be proactive, buy some land and raise your own beef/lamb etc, and at the same time start more small farms to raise several beef for locals also. Learn how to create nourishing pastures for the animals, learn how to process your own animals & protect your water rights. We did this 18 years ago and love our new farm life. Thing is, don't allow the bs control your lives, take a stand for human dignity and rights to live life naturally.

I don't smoke or drink, I am fit and active, I rarely eat take out food rather I eat lots of fruit and veg. As long as I can remember I have craved meat and fat and I always thought that was a weird craving? I have never craved sugar but I do notice with draw when I remove carbs from my diet. Today is day 1 of my carnivore diet and I have only eaten meat so far today and this is my experience in just a few hours. I feel way brighter like my mood is lifting, I feel relaxed way less tense than I normally do, my eczema feels less sore, no back ache, my eyes feel less sore, I don't feel hungry and normally I'm yoyoing throughout the day feeling hungry shortly after a meal. Its early days but so far I'm blown away that I could notice these things already that's just nuts! I'm beginning to believe that the expert nutritionists have got it all wrong the data is wrong about what a healthy diet should be, I mean take a look around human health in the western world is a disaster! Our diets are not working its time for change, in the bible it says we should eat meat from ruminant animals and god put those animals on the earth, most food in our diet these days is man made even fruit and veg!

Hi, I'm 12-13 weeks in and I have noticed steady improvement in my overall health, I've lost every tiny bit of fat that I had on my body I'm now the same weight as I was when I was 19 but I am 59 My doctor has reduced my thyroid medication by 50% and even that feels like too much now and it's keeping me awake at night, my GERD was really bad but it has completely gone now so I guess my stomach acid has increased, also my IBS has completely gone, I do still get depression but its way better much more manageable more like low mood rather than proper depression My skin on my face feels smooth but my skin doesn't get greasy as one might expect, the skin on my arms looks younger like I went back in time, also the other day I noticed that my finger nails have started growing at a proper rate whereas before I might trim once every two months? I have partial hearing in my right ear now but still have awful tinnitus, I'm noticing constant improvement but weirdly I rarely feel hungry, the original plan was 3 months but I'm continuing for another 3 see what happens, thanks for asking. @@malzimus

@godsangel1488 I'm nearly six months in now and my cholesterol is sky high but LDL only slightly elevated, My BP is spot on and I've recently had a heart test at the hospital and I'm tip top condition on that score, also just had a CAC scan and I'm clear no artery disease. I do believe that I have SIBO and maybe SIFO too so I'm concentrating on an eradication protocol at the moment and I feel like crap! Die off big time plus serious depression again, I've dialled back on the natural anti-fungal supplements and it's a bit easier, probably do three more weeks of this then I'm on the next phase which is repopulate my microbiome, so that'll be home made yoghurt with pre-selected probiotic strains and this fermented for at least 36 hours so super high strength, also bringing in other fermented foods and prebiotics, that's going to mean some carbs so that'll be interesting... My sinus infections have almost cleared up and my dry eye has also eased, I do have a bit of vertigo though I think I'm just experiencing toxic build up with all the die off, It's a long road ahead but small wins along the way.

@@PeaceIsJesusChrist When crops are grown they use machine to till the earth, worm, mice, birds, chipmunks and other small animals die. Then the farm sprays fungal and pesticides, all animal that eat from that crop become sick, like deer and antelopes, cows, rabbits, they either die from it or do not live their full life (like humans). Bees are sucking nectar out of the chemical saturated plant, have you not wondered where all the bees have gone? Then another piece of machinery is brought out to harvest, tons of small animals are killed in that process as well. Not even touched the soil erosion, when it rains the water drags the pesticides and fungal either down into the soil killing off the microbiome there or it is washed into rivers and streams, which then is dumbed into the oceans and that kills off TONS of fishes and fish foods. The gulf of mexico is destroyed because of it. Killing off coral reefs and all. Oh wait haven't told ya about transportation, all those veggie get to market by big trucks or trains, planes and boats. I know the truckers no fault of their own kill 100's of elk each winter just on I40 in Arizona. As a person who has lived on farms and rural areas, I want to remind everyone that hunters take advantage of natural herbivore food areas. Basically, hunt from the edge of the woods next to a meadow or orchard (or on an animal path on the way to the meadow.). To be more sure of a successful hunt when you don't have that specific scenario, clear a plot and scatter apples, carrots, pumpkins, corn, etc, that you or someone else grew. Or, plant a feed lot right there in the meadow. That is how agriculture started. It wasn't to eat the plants, it was to entice the herbivore into your trap. Yes, if super hungry at some point, you resort to eating some of what you grew, but that is not why it was grown in the first place. That's all why agriculture started. Just another way, besides weapons, we used our brains to get meat. Agriculture is fine if the main reason it is practiced is to increase meat production. Our brains and bodies are a gift from the Creator, but we must use them correctly and not allow ourselves to become twisted in our thinking, especially situational ethics and ends justifying the means or imbalanced self focus , as opposed to loving family, community and Creator.

@@d_e_a_n Refined carbs compete with vitamin C, so if you're not eating refined carbs, you don't need vitamin C supplements. Carnivore diet is sufficient in nutrients, that you don't need any supplements. You also don't need expensive electrolyte supplements (it's a big busine$$, so take their recommendations with a grain of salt lol) Just make sure you're adding sea salt to your food. If you're working out and your muscles are sore, you can soak in bath with Epsom salt, it has magnesium. Although my personal preference is 1 tablespoon of organic unsulphured black strap molasses at bedtime, if needed (only 13g carbs per tablespoon). Inexpensive and effective.

Hello. I am an 87 year-old woman who just started on carnivore a month ago. When you asked Dr. Chaffee how old he thought the guy was in the before and after photo you held up, I immediately said 65 to 70. I am blown away by the rest of Chaffee's life, history, and information fund, BUT maybe the photo was harder for him to see or something. This is a first youtube for me of either of you, and so far, my favorite carnivore podcast yet. Thanks a million, both of you for doing this, and Dr, Chaffee, you may right now be adding many more years to my life. I am co-caregiver for my terminally ill son-in-law with my daughter, who after six years of 24/7 caregiving, is spent. But still a major trooper, with a loving heart and beautiful attitude. I moved in with them a year and a half ago to help (do the shopping, pick up his meds, some housework, dealing with some other things, etc.) SO, a formerly quiescent left breast tumor (of 59 years standing) - previously always calmed with Reiki or other healing - started hurting, and then broke through the skin and has been fungating for a year. A month ago I began self-treating with RSO, which stopped the previously rapid spread, and just today added the first of CBD rectal suppositories, after reading the work of Dr. Vincent Maida and reading the studies on CBD and cancer. He is in Canada and I am in Portland Oregon, so no access other than the great information and photos of his successful palliative care on wounds that wouldn't heal. Till long term CBD treatments (Forbes did a piece on him.) So, combined with carnivore, I have hope of gaining strength and healing month by month. I will find your podcast and tell you how I healed my zero cartilage (my sports med doc and her x-ray said in 2011) knee. She said I would have problems the rest of my life. Occasionally it will go out or hurt; I do what works - gradual slow straight leg tensing of every single muscle in and around that knee, till I can do no more, then complete release and a slow bend to 90 degrees, then back to straight a couple of times. From Richard Bedard's book, "Saving My Knees", subtitled "How I Proved My Doctors Wrong and Beat Chronic Knee Pain". Which led me to Doug Kelsey and Austin Sports Center info (just reading) to learn that what doctors are taught about knee cartilage is not true. Hope this helps. Love your work and am infinitely grateful for your instruction of us carnivores - and carnivore wannabes like me.🙏💖👍👌

Yes, there are a handful of “Cancer researchers” that are certain that Cancer is “Metabolic” and NOT “Genetic” … Chaffee, has done podcasts with at least one of the leading researchers [sorry can’t remember his name] but the point is that cancer “runs” on “ fermentation” and can not function on “ oxidation” [as normal cells do]. So the concept is “starve” the cancer… only problem is that “glucose” is not the only “fermentable” fuel for cancer so is is “glutamine”… which is NOT controllable thru diet [so,they say?]… but, anyway, “Carnivore” [zero carb, like your life depends on it] has been pretty miraculous for a bunch of folks… while supercharging the autoimmune system at the same time. I wish you great success and wellness! And thank you for your post… I read the whole thing, LOL

The Dave Dr Chaffee was referring to is Dave from ‘No Carb Life’ - much like your channel in that’s it’s very motivating and full of testimonial interviews with people whose health state has improved. I’m not your typical carnivore as I’ve always been fit and healthy and very little sugar in my life. My stimulus for going carnivore last October was to future proof myself against dementia or Alzheimer’s-something my wife came down with 8 years ago! Since going carnivore though I am aware that I am more clear headed and the patchy psoriasis I had on parts of my trunk have all disappeared. Dr Chaffee is also correct in that the overall cost of eating just meat (and eggs) is much less then a diet with veges, fruit and treats! Anyway a great discussion between you two guys. When I was breastfeeding my children, and went to the pedestrian for the usual checkups, I got scolded for doing so instead of giving them soja milk or calf nutrition, plus veggies and fruits. At first, my kids always were at their best and the doctor was extremely satisfied with their health, nutrition, intelligence, etc. But as soon as the same doctor knew that I was fully breastfeeding my child, they suddenly snapped at got angry because of the "bad" nutrition. At some point, I think it was with my third son, I just told the doctor that I was feeding the glasses with veggies and fruits, and I didn't get scolded, but I got told how good I was doing as mom. Now, with carnivore diet, it's just the same. I told my doctors what I plan to do and they all were against it. I said, that I was going to do it anyways and that I am convinced they will be surprised. I just do it my way and we'll see what happens, since I did everything they wanted for years and still things went south. This time I will tell my docs what I am doing. When I had a bunch of small kids, I neither had the time nor the energy to say the truth. I also was afraid of the doc calling for child protection because of me breastfeeding for more than a year. I nursed my youngest son for 5.5 years and he remained the healthiest of my sons until today. 😊

You can buy a big bag of spinach or one of those big tubs that takes up a LOT of space in your frig, and when you cook it, it shrivels down to a HANDFUL, a HANDFUL for about $6!!! Right now I'm doing keto-vore, because I'm needing variety to not get bored, but heavy meat. My costs right now are up because I have to buy the alternative things to make those egg based tortillas etc. But other than that, I can get ground beef for 3.99 and even 2.99 on sale!!!! And at Aldi, I can get a 2 pack of ribeyes for something like $12. I used to eat out in restaurants ALL MY LIFE, and that's getting CRAZY expensive! I used to spend $10, 7 years ago and had great meals at the Indian place, Chinese place or Japanese and Korean place or even the Peruvian place. Not any more. I can easily drop $30 for a meal, or even $50 at the Indian place for two curry dishes and a drink. It's gotten ridiculous. And seafood, forgedaboudit! But I can make a lobster, shrimp, and muscles meal BOIL at home for $21 that has TWO small lobster tails in it! Over at the boil place that would be about $52 plus tip and tax! That's dinner tonight! How hard is it to boil seafood and then add butter and season it? Yes, I'm having to get used to cooking and right now, taking care of my house and myself and pets is a full time job, but, as I go, I will shortcut it. I did make all hamburger patties at once, to save on gas and labor. I bought a flat of chicken thighs, and I'll cook them all in the oven /broiler at the same time now, and then pull them out and warm them up to eat in the future. Egg, will have to be made fresh, but they're pretty fast, and bacon, I can cook the whole slab and put in a ziplock bag in the frig and warm up. That cheap ribeye at Aldi,is outrageously good, and it's even vacuum packed to last longer in your frig! I calculate that I can live VERY WELL on about $500 a month, and I was spending upwards of $1,000 and up in restaurants eating seed oils and carbs! I had food poisoning from a restaurant, and what should have taken 3 days to fix with probiotics, took 2 months of sufferiing because I was eating DATES to get the gut moving, and the dates had a PRESERVATIVE that KILLS THAT GOOD GUT BACTERIA. Can you BELIEVE THAT? But, it ended up being a blessing in disguise, since I FASTED for most of that month, because my digestion was off and bloating was real. So, autophagy for a month!!!!! And the sugar cravings were a DONE DEAL! This made me able to decide on mediterranean for a few days, then keto, then keo-vore, heavy vore. After around 2 weeks, I just had my keto WHOOSH days (body letting huge amounts of water go, because inflammation is down and the body doesn't need to water to dilute poisoning).

Bat$h!t crazy is what I thought when my aunt was explaining "Atkins" diet which was the door to my low carb (now no carb now been on carnivore diet) journey. How could a person lose weight eating meat and fats only and no carbs. Was I wrong and she was right, lol.

My dad used to go on the atkins diet every January like 20 years ago or so and would lose tons of weight and look good and healthy. I used to always tell him as a kid you are gonna get a heart attack and that’s gonna kill you etc. now he is 63 and I’m 35. I was completely wrong and he was ahead of the curve on this carnivore/keto thing. He was right the whole time and I feel like an idiot. I’m on day 41 carnivore rn

@@GeorgeZimmermen Can’t blame yourself! It was spoon fed to us constantly that red meat, butter, cream, etc kills is. I checked out Atkins as a teenager when it first came out. I even tried it when I was 20 (for shallow reasons-I wanted to lose ten pounds. LOL), but I felt so awful the first few days that I was convinced my body needed carbs. Ugh. If only I had had a community of support and information like we have now! A couple years later, I went raw food plant-based, then added jn cooked foods, but still plant-based, found Dr. Fuhrman ans tweaked my diet even more. But, I never thrived, and I didn’t understand why, as I really thought I was eating the healthiest, most nutrient-rich diet. Sigh… I’ve just stared Carnivore, and I’m not throwing in the towel so easily this time!!

I’ve been unhealthy bc of it got bad during pre menopause. Wish I had stayed with it. I’m back to the Chaffee way or (my dads way) way since 7/24/23. Kerry you were on it and did it fast! Thank you. i´m 97%ish carnivore, but i can still tolerate all kinds of junk. some fruit, lots of spices, sweets, sugar etc., all no problem.....BUT - a single slice of bread, a serving of oats or pasta or anything with more than say 1% fiber puts me out for days. like it takes literally 3-4 days to get that junk out and start feeling normal again.

I haven't thought about this for a long time, but the one thing I recall from my youth was that "meat took ages (years) to digest" and "clogs up the pipe work - sticks to the walls of the intestines" etc. I'm not sure who started that crap lie, and it didn't really have an affect on me, but I was also a kid and not sick yet. Now I'm in my 50s trying to reverse all the damage I and my eating habits has done over the years - digging myself out of metabolic syndrome and trying to turn of starvation mode/fight-flight (yes fat and starving can happen at the same time and it's a vicious feedback loop/trap). Anyway my 'pipes' have never been better since going carnivore. It's 'cured' life long IBS-C, among other things.

Great interview with one of my favorite carnivore docs! I have to take issue with a phrase (around 25:00) I've heard others in the carnivore community use, and that is "eat what we're designed to eat. It's my own biased, but I think it would be more accurate to say, "eat what we are evolved to eat" Sorry to rant, it's just a little pet peeve of mine .Love your channel Kerry, keep up the good work Looking forward to your movie.

I think a concept that’s always skipped. The idea of nutrient displacement. If we need 2 pounds of fatty meat a day and you’re full after that. Adding in any other food means you’ll get less of the fatty meat that you need.

Id love to see Dr. Chaffee or Dr. Barry cover this topic. Btw, my husband is on carnivore atm he is on i believe his first 30 days. Hes seen improvement and has lost 20 lbs. I'm 2 months in down 17lbs and shrinking 3.5 inches and counting. Cravings have left me. The mental reasons are A. I know I'll be in pain, instantly. B. I know I'll gain the weight back. C. I feel better eating meat, not the carbs and sugars. I could think of more, but those are the best reasons for me to stick to the Carnivore way of eating. ❤ eating meat!

I was keto for 6 years and lost 55 lbs then started falling off the wagon and gained 15 after a friend ended up in the hospital and I just started eating fast food on the go. I felt awful, tired, stiff and brain fog was making my life hard. I started carnivore cold turkey for the past 6 days and I am back to 💯. Also I had a bad respiratory infection that lasted for 6 weeks and I finally recovered from that as well. I can’t say it was from my diet but I can say it made it harder to recover from the illness due to not having the best nutrition I could have. I plan to do this for 30 days and then go from there to see if my results are continuing. I don’t think I have lost any weight but I know doing keto that it doesn’t happen for me overnight.

It’s ok to be sad. You have to work these things out. Takes time. At least you are aware of how different things affect you. Illness. not being able to go to the gym can make us feel down. PMS, too. The fact that you may soon be off psych. meds is very encouraging, because I know that you want to start on family. Music while biking or walking is a great mood elevator. Remember, we can learn from our past mistakes but we shouldn’t dwell on them. You are a terrific person. Life is never perfect.
