Meet Jack, a vibrant 78-year-old who started his carnivorous journey in January of this year. Not long ago, life threw Jack a curveball with a prostate cancer diagnosis. Undeterred, he took control of his health. Since then, Jack has felt fantastic, bursting with energy and living life to the fullest.
But Jack's talents don't stop at the dinner table. He's also a budding author, working on his fantasy novel tentatively titled 'Charlie Decker and the Lords of Timor.' As Jack shares his carnivorous wisdom and talks about the transformative power of a meat-based diet, he's also hoping to find an agent to help connect him with a publisher for his book.
Tune into this episode to explore Jack's journey, from his dietary choices to his literary ambitions. His story serves as an inspiring example of how it's never too late to make changes and chase dreams. Jack defies age norms and is a testament to the power of a determined spirit and a carnivorous diet. Don't miss out on his extraordinary story of health, vitality, and creative expression.

Today I was getting an old box of plastic forks down from the top of a kitchen cabinet and the box fell apart and I ended up with plastic forks all over the stove and floor. There was a time I would have been over the top with rage, today I just picked them up and found another container for them. Before carnivore I wouldn't have been able to bend from my waist and pick them up, now I can ,even still being one hundred lbs away from goal weight. Thanks carnivore community.

Another great interview Kerry! You are the Pied Piper of Carnivore! Keep sounding the call! Great to hear your story Jack! I wish there were more men like Jack to companion with us carnivore senior ladies. 😉 It gets lonely being a meatatarian! I’m blessed to have my sister on this way of eating with me. She is 75 and I’m 64. She was a physical therapist working until age 70. I’m a RN and still care giving. It has taken us awhile to come to grips that we have been lied to our whole lives about nutrition and health and we were trained to educate others in the lies. We are testifying by our example now! Both of us on no medications and resolving chronic health issues by way of carnivore!

This past weekend I went to a memorial golf outing where I seen a ton of people that I grew up with age 45 to 55. I tried to downplay the carnivore diet but I did bring it up multiple times to people who we're all complimented me on how I looked and I got almost zero questions back or interest many of which had diabetes. It's so frustrating because you want to help these people have known your whole life and you know are slowly dying

I totally relate to not wanting to take the toxic meds the doctor advises once you’ve had a taste of healing through diet. I had so much healing on Keto and fasting. When I found out I had breast cancer and my oncologist offered me 18 months minimum of chemotherapy, surgery, radiation and 5-10 years of hormone blocking drugs… I said NO WAY!! I’m feeling better than I’ve felt my entire life and you want to kill me off ??? No thank you. I’m committed to healing my whole body and improving my immune system, hormones… and then fighting off this cancer by myself. I’m using Paleomedicina’s carnivore diet and it’s very humbling as it’s not easy. I really rely on this amazing Carnivore community to keep up the daily hope and dedication. I’m so grateful we are all in this together to improve our lives and make real change in our completely backwards health care system💚

Hey brother, my name is Eric and I'm 51. I was hospitalized for 5 days in early May because my kidneys shut down. I was Type 2 diabetic, overweight, hypertensive, depressed, anxious...COMPLETELY MISERABLE. When I came out of the hospital I decided to commit to saving my life. God began putting information in front of me and on 6/1 I became a carnivore. By doing so, God reversed my diabetes (ALREADY), I've lost 60 lbs, my blood pressure is normal and I can THINK again! Depression and anxiety- GONE! When I watch you, especially when you went canoeing, I can so relate to what you're feeling inside. Hi Tracy I am on a pension and try to eat the cheaper cuts of meat. Ground beef or as we call it in the UK mince, the 80/20 sort with good fat. I buy bacon off cuts which are very cheap. Belly pork and Good sausage. Lots of eggs and tinned fish and I actually spend less on shopping now as this diet curbs my appetite. Jack, you’re a very smart guy and a good example…start a KZbin channel! I’m guessing most people are really enjoying hearing you talk as much as I am. What you’re saying really resonates with me and I, like you and Kerry, started carnivore at the beginning of this year, and I’ve seen nothing but great benefits. The big one is I was 265 when I started and weighed 218 this morning! At my highest I was 311 and had to do P90x every day and really bust my butt biking, diving, and staying active. Now I work out two or three times a week lifting weights and doing occasional HIIT. The proper human diet is doing most of the heavy lifting. I’m hoping my a fib has also gone away, and the only time I’ve had it while on carnivore was a couple months ago and it lasted for an hour and that was it. Hope that was the death of a fib for me. Five months into carnivore my CAC score was ZERO, my HDL went up, my triglycerides came down, and my ratio is 1.16, but my LDL went into the 200s and my cardiologist who is treating me for a fib said I need to go on a statin or I’m gonna die of heart disease. Everybody in his office is trying to convince me how bad off I was when I’m sitting there feeling the best I ever have since high school when I was playing sports. I’m 57 now and still can do what I did before I got unhealthy from the SAD. Lol again, I can really relate to what you said about why would I change anything when I’m feeling so great? Done rambling. Great video, both of you!

I was motivated to try out the carnivore diet because I was very overweight. At 5'4 I was 220 lb which was a terrible weight for a man my height. I came to learn about the carnivore diet via the religious route. I am a former Seventh-day Adventist. The 7th Day Adventist Church advocates for vegetarian and vegan lifestyles. I never went vegetarian or vegan but was fully convinced of the healthiness and benefits of vegetables, fruits grains, legumes and nuts. You could have knocked me over with a feather when I came to understand the fallacy of that idea. I always understood that vegetarian and veganism were the epitome of healthy eating. And what kept me from eating like that was sheer laziness. I was not motivated to be vegetarian or vegan. I Now understand that was one of the healthiest choices I could have ever made. Today I am carnivore and I have lost 38 pounds to date

At 75, I am just starting Carnivore after recent blood test results put me at pre-diabetes levels. Started in July. Also just diagnosed with an IBD. Looking forward to reversing the pre-diabetes and stopping the IBD flare-up that I've been in for over a year. Am off of daily Omeprazole that I've taken for over a decade. Have osteoarthritis, (two hip replacements), as well as lower back issues. I am certain these will improve as I continue this way of eating. Also am on Metoprolol. Would love to go off of that, with my doctor's approval. Discovering the Carnivore way of eating has made me hopeful for having optimal health for the next quarter of a century! It's a no-muss, no-fuss way of eating. And I happen to like meat a lot!

Be careful with the Metoprolol, you will absolutely need your doctor's guidance to taper off. Suddenly stopping is life threatening.

Wish I had done this when my son was in middle school and h.s. I cannot believe how CALM I am ....I used to be a yelling nagging mom. 😢. My son is now 23 but even he noticed the change. All I can do is apology to him for the way I handled stress back then. Thankfully he is forgiving and we are now very close.

I don’t want to go back to any sad diet… but also not back to my prior “healthy” diet. I drank the green smoothies and all the fancy antioxidant products. I had all of them. I thought I was eating only the best foods and drinks… but my gut issues were getting worse! All that kale and spinach and raw veggies and nuts and seeds and tumeric and herbs and spices and wow… all I needed was steak! Lol. Rarely had beef or bacon before this.

I'm 63 and got back into a size 40 this morning. Not as tight as it was. As for eggs and mustard. I'll boil four eggs, cut them in half, and mix the yoke with mustard and a bit of salsa (I make sure there's no sugar in the salsa). I eat a lot of beef also. Also, I believe God has a sense of humor, because every time I'm tempted to eat something I shouldn't, some morbidly obese person suddenly comes within my line of sight, as if God is saying, "Do you really want to look like this guy?" lol

Going on a carnivore diet as of tomorrow due to the fact that was at the Atlantic City Boardwalk over the weekend and people are huge. 🤔🤪 I only have 40 lb to lose . I can't imagine people that are like 300 lb overweight!🤔🙄🤯 Being on the boardwalk you can just sit there like I did with my wife and watch people stroll along and they are just gigantic and of course they are eating ice creams and funnel cakes. I do think the key is a certain age though. There's plenty of people in their teens and early twenties eating the same crap and are still very thin.🤔😳

Dr Robert Cywes is the South African born doctor. Carbonated water doesn't give you anything extra, it's just nice to drink something bubbly from time to time. If your liver is producing more LDL, then your body is more than likely healing something. As long as your HDL is high and your triglycerides are low, then you are eating a low-carb diet. Higher LDL on its own shouldn't be an issue. You need to weigh up side effects of Statins to its benefits which are vast.

I think you’re right on most of the stuff you say and I’m sitting here after starting carnivore about nine or 10 days ago I’m a 68-year-old turning 68 September 5 a couple months ago I was 245 so I started fasting so if I can give anybody advice that say look at the fasting along with carnivore, and I’m looking forward to my journey I think the most of us in society now understand we’ve been lied to by our government about our history and same way with our diet and what they tell us was good for us so I put some money in their pocket. Thank you. Keep up the good work.
