I was wondering why everyone was trash talking this movie because I’ve never seen it. Watching this clip alone, with Henry Cavill giving absolutely nothing, and every actor seemingly phoning it in, and that chase seen having totally incomprehensible editing, I get it. This scene has to be a parody.

It is intentionally ridiculous, because this is "happening" in the book the novelist, played by Bryce Dallas Howard, is writing over the course of the film. But I will agree that the action scenes could still be choreographed, shot and edited better. Even when they are meant to be 'over-the-top' unrealistic.

I really hoped that this film would be good because Matthew Vaughn is a great director with movies such as: X-Men: First Class, Stardust and the Kingsman films (just to name a few) and a stellar cast to boot. What we got instead was one of the dullest movies ever made. It was a slog to sit through, subpar special effects, confusing plot & direction, disorienting action sequences and, aside from a solid performance by Sam Rockwell, the actors looked pretty disinterested (the script gave them nothing to work with) To finish: What was Dua Lipa’s role in this? Top-billing but only appears in the beginning. You cannot waste a precious talent like her! It’s just wrong! My vote for Argylle is 4 out of 10
