U were right about age of guitar, I 've got a pretty similar one (same hardware as well) in red, and I'had original purchase documents and was declared produced in 1982. SO RIGHT enjoy it because I've tried many gibson of same age....and once u do not know which one u are playing is so close that is difficult to say ....

Aria build great guitars.

Great video and lovely example of this model. I owned exactly the same model from new in about 1982. At the time I could only afford to keep one guitar at a time, so traded this for a Yamaha SF400 for a more Les Paul type sound. The more acoustic and subtle tonalities of the Aria would have been great to hold on to also though! 🙂🎸

Thank you for your compliments. This is actually my favorite electric for this moment. It's also used on stage (rock and big band jazz) while there are guitars in my collection 5 times the price.

what did I say? 8 times the price.

@@timsrednavnaj wow, great! I can see one listed and thinking to getting it since I found semihollow guitars somehow works for the best for me. Can U fully recommend it? :) Is it resonant enough?
@timsrednavnaj2 жыл бұрын
@@kalmandavid3669, it's one of my favorite guitars with a very bluesy sound in the neck pickup, while it still rocks with the bridge PU.

@@timsrednavnaj sounds great brother! You still got it after 6 years? :) Have you compared to an es335? Or may I ask, what other guitars do you have if this one is your favourite? :)

This model is The Aria Pro II 50 with the varitone, grat sounds.You put the varitono on in te last position in su, up and don't touch the otker position with the varitone,Usw this position for the soun similar 335-This guitar are the incredible sound...of wood, vintage soun, and I utilized the middle for sounds robben ford clean or johnny winter, clean sound or wih crunch.

Idk if its my surgery medicine percocet, but this sounded oddly/or nicely satisfying lol.. Anyways I have a Global Es200 (ec-335 copycate) and its in terrible shape even in good care, the finish looks old and it has no wood grain patterns. I might buy one of these on Reverb, idk how much they cost though

Sounds great and is quite the looker too. I can see the varitone can create quite a variety of sounds but excluding that, how would you rate the pickups, say vs it's comparable American counterpart? Also, Is that a set neck with a bolt on reinforcement?
@timsrednavnaj8 жыл бұрын
Thanks for feedback. Actually I have not compared it with a real Gibson ES yet. I'm searching for an owner where I can borrow one from to do the job. Bridge pu of the American one might be darker and fatter than this Aria. But I like the neck pu a lot. It's bright but has got a lot of smooth lower tones too. The guitar has its own quality. Indeed, it has a set neck. The bolts are extra.

What track is it you're playing from ~1:40? Cool riff!
@timsrednavnaj7 жыл бұрын
Petrus, these are classic country licks I borrowed. Probably from Doug 7 hot licks sessions.

How do you tuck the pick away when you want to play fingerstyle?
@timsrednavnaj Жыл бұрын
Paul, I checked it. I hide the pick in the inner bend of my index-finger. The middle and ring-finger take over the action. I'm not sure this is the best technique though
