See, it was debunked. Ethan and his wife had already separated, and so had Ariana and Dalton. The child was not a newborn, so Ethan didn’t just up and leave as soon as it was born, like everyone is saying. Even Ethan’s ex stated that she has no clue how Press got some statements that were supposedly made about the situation and claimed they were false or incorrect. And Ariana will not speak up about her marriage or divorce to Dalton, because there is a privacy clause, so she legally can’t say anything. But considering people are accusing Dalton of cheating on Ariana, and Dalton is a very private person and doesn’t like his personal life flaunted everywhere, I’d say they both agreed upon the clause to keep their personal lives private, and to avoid more allegations being made.

Listen, I am SO not for internet bullying, and she is right in that 1- we know what media frenzy does to celebrities and mental health and 2- the woman almost always get the unfair brunt of blame/scrutiny, press. But this interview was NOT the way to go about remedying the situation at all. Not only did she not take any blame, she didn’t even truly address the issue, but instead but focused on how she was hurt and how anyone who believes the headlines is stupid for believing it and complicit in bullying. When the bare bones truth is that what she (they- but she’s the bigger celebrity here and so, like it or not, her name is what sells internet traffic) did was problematic and deeply morally wrong to MOST people, and we’re at a time we’re almost none of us can agree on moral baselines. But cheating, especially when one of the partners has a brand new baby at home, is seen as reprehensible. And there’s just no sugarcoating that or gaslighting that away. Her best bet would have been to do a candid interview owning up to it ENTIRELY but then doubling down on a message of “We fell in love, and we knew it wasn’t fair to our partners once we realized we’d formed an emotional bond. Nothing physical happened until after the break ups, etc etc.” That would have been her only hope to salvage her image. But not owning up to any of it just makes her look beyond narcissistic 🤷🏻‍♀️
