You can tell that she lip synced when she was basically still a rising star, like in 2013,14, and 15. But, in the DW era she rarely lip synced, if not, ever. I also suspect that in the Sweetener era she most likely will not lip any songs because there aren't too high of notes and she is better at singing than she was 3-4 years ago. Just saying, but, she does have the best vocals in music right now. I already know people will come at me for saying that, I just know it.

for last christmas, i don’t judge her for that since it’s the macy’s thanksgiving parade. the parade is so loud, considering it happens at a HUGE party in nyc and there hundreds of thousands - millions of people there so if she sang live, you would not hear her at all from how loud the crowd is. therefore, all artists have to at that parade. they’re probably still singing it’s just that you can’t hear them.

I think it’s important to notice that most of these lipped notes were in her early tours so lipping is understandable when she perhaps wasn’t as confident ! She hasn’t lipped (or at least I haven’t noticed her doing it) at all in her sweetener and dangerous woman tours ! just shows her amazing progress !

Lol yeah, so many pop singers do it that it doesn't make sense to single her out. If she were the only one doing it or the first person to do it... That'd be different but she's obviously not. I will say that I personally wouldn't want to pay to go to a mostly lipsynced concert BUT knowing that she lip syncs isn't going to stop me from enjoying her music or acknowledging that she's a VERY talented singer.

its easy to tell when ariana lips. she normally moves her head to one side and brings her shoulders in a bit like she’s shielding her face. also on some of these clips she doesn’t even bother to properly lip the beginning and ending letters of words. like if a word began with “p” you don’t see her lips close together to produce that sound yet its still made. thats how its obvious she’s lipping.

actually I'm not sure she's lip syncing at 1:32 because it starts a bit late and she rushes a bit the words like she usually does live and also I've seen the performance many times and she also ends it a bit early and quietly. at 3:36 she's definitely singing live, she sounds a little stressed on the long high note and the falsetto run is way more complex than the studio version and it would have been difficult to lip sync it. usually when singers lip sync the track is basically perfect, the studio one. when you compare 2013/2014 performances: most of the "live" performances you put it's more evident she's singing live, yes, because she sounds more unsteady but you have to consider that she's performing at events etc (also you chose performances from 2014 and that's basically her worst year vocally, she used to sing a bit better in 2013 so), when she sings at her concerts you can tell she is way more relaxed. at 5:47 you can actually see her neck muscles tense when she hits the high notes so I think it could be live. anyway she basically never lip syncs and when she sings live she's even more extra (she's like the only singer who's better live) because she's really, very, freaking, fucking, incredibly talented and loves singing and loves doing it live. so we forgive her.💜 every singer lip syncs sometimes even the best ones like Ari. they're human too and they happen to have a bad day. then there are other people who can't actually sing and lip sync every time they're live and are still considered singers.

Some of the reason she occasionally lip syncs is that some of these vocals were from tours. When your on tour, you really have to preserve your voice so you do not end up becoming fatigued, so it only makes sense that she would have to lip a little bit. Not to mention that your voice is always more tense when you are singing for lots of people.
