Hi Jack, wonderful! I’m hoping my new website will be fully operational sometime next week! I will certainly talk about it once it is. I’ve been doing virtual workshops since this past fall and really love them. We have a lot of fun and I would love for you to join us in one. In the meantime, subscribe, if you haven’t already as I will be doing at least one video about the new website and how to sign up for workshops.

Ariane you're a treasure trove of inspiration. I have so many threads, fabrics, beads and supplies lying unused because I'm not naturally very creative and there are so many styles of embroidery/quilting I have yet to try and love all the variety of stitch books I keep looking through/referring to especially my RSN ones. The latest in my collection (thanks to watching Anna) are Sue Spargo's 'Creative Stitches' and Lisa Bonjean's 'Wool, Needle and Thread'. You are bringing a lot of Sue's embroidery stitches to life. I'm now catching up watching your earlier videos. I'm going to need your world of colour this winter. I'll try to keep any comments shorter in future but it's so good to meet an embroiderer even at a distance! Thank you.

I loved your quilts. What type of paint do you use on fabric? I might have to give it a try.
@ArianeZurcher2122 жыл бұрын
I used a paint that I purchased from Pro Chem, but now I typically use Inktense and/or Caran D'ache water soluble pastels as they don't change the hand of the fabric and I'm usually doing quite a bit of hand stitching on the fabric that I paint.❤️ Inktense: amzn.to/3sbbynm Caran D'ache Water soluble: amzn.to/3uoJSxV

Only 7:10 a.m. here in Arkansas and am enjoying your tour with my cup of coffee! You are so very talented. All your projects are very pretty! The vase quilt is spectacular. Hard to choose as all your projects are. Have a good day and thank you for sharing. Do you cut your penny circles by hand? What technique do you use ? I have been tracing circles with ink pen but difficult to see ink on dark wool. Going to draw some today onto freezer paper and fuse to my wool then cut out.
@ArianeZurcher2124 жыл бұрын
I used to use the wool punches, that Sue sells on her site and then I saw her use her Crossover Die Cut Machine and that was it for me, I've never looked back. It's an investment, but boy was it worth it!! I'm doing a video demonstrating that machine next week.

Hi Ariane, I love your tutorials and walks around New York. I'm a righty, but almost ambidextrous. I like that you show things multiple times, up close and well lit. I also like that you share the name and color of the thread you are using. I was wondering if you are familiar with Laura Wasilowski's hand dyed thread at artfabrik.com/hand-dyed-pearl-cotton-thread/ ? I'm a quilter, so I became familiar with Laura's thread in a workshop many years ago. I especially like the color, "Japanese Irises". Love your cat, Deb

Okay Ariane...I’ve just subscribed to your wonder channel. Recommended to me by a fellow stitching enthusiast. My question is not needle, thread or technique related at all. 😏 rather wondering if you’d be willing to give me the name of the lipstick you use? It looks so natural and fresh!! Hope this isn’t too personal. If so, just ignore! Thanks!
@ArianeZurcher2124 жыл бұрын
Hahaha! Love this question!! Okay, so I actually had to go look, because I had no idea, and then I had to look at it through a magnifying glass because I couldn't see any indication of manufacturer or anything else. However, after all of that I was able to find a little CG printed on the metal band around the tube, which I'm guessing is "Cover Girl" and the number on the bottom of the tube is 533. Other than that, I have no other information. Oh except that it's made in Ireland, which I thought interesting! Ask me about a thread color and I have the info memorized, lipstick, not so much... ❤️😂❤️
@lorisalem61334 жыл бұрын
Ariane Zurcher - On the Other Hand well, thank you for the info! I just thought it looks so natural yet a bit of color. My coloring is similar to yours, so I’m going to attempt to hunt it down! Blessings!
