ARIEL HELWANI; Boxing legend JAMES TONEY goes off on "fake" UFC | (Classic interview 2010)

  Рет қаралды 626,821

Ariel Helwani

Ariel Helwani

14 жыл бұрын

Ariel Helwani hears from James Toney on how UFC fighters are "bums" and how Dana White is "scared". This interview would eventually lead to Toney fighting Randy Couture in the UFC.
That didn't end well.

Lpool FC - Thats because he ran his fuckin mouth, talking all kinds of shit and disrespecting the sport of MMA, and then he got WHOOPED in under 2 minutes, and never fought in MMA again. And he STILL runs his mouth after losing. He says "Randy Couture was scared to death" blah blah blah, mur mur mur. He doesnt deserve respect. You gotta give respect to get it. Hes more of bitch than Deontay Wilder. And maybe even less intelligent. MAYBE. Wilder is pretty fuckin dumb.

Some MMA fans keep saying how superior UFC is and bla bla bla. keep in mind that UFC exists thanks to japanese judo and jiu-jiutsu, ancient wrestling, boxing, Muai thai and many other arts that were created centuries ago. nothing was created in MMA. choking and grappling is very old people. I know there is a new concept, but people discuss ground fighting and other old techniques, as if these were discovered by the gracie family or danna white. get real people.
@manuelsvensson3399
@manuelsvensson3399 8 жыл бұрын
My point is that many MMA fans (especially younger) think a neck choke or a low kicks are only well performed by MMA fighters. Saying that old martial arts are useless compared to UFC, when everything came from those ancient arts. I practice judo and did amateur boxing for a few years and I keep respect for both sports. Go to a muai Thai or kick boxing videos, and there are always people saying "those guys will be murdered in UFC".... I hope these morons know where low kicks and punch combinations came from. I like the MMA concept, but I rather watch a boxing fight any day. Just my personal opinion.
@manuelsvensson3399
@manuelsvensson3399 8 жыл бұрын
I know they boxer or muai Thai guy are more likely to get a ground beating in UFC, but I'm just saying that thanks to jiujitsu, judo and wresting, MMA fighters can take down the boxer or the kick boxer. A pure judoka or wrestler can take a boxer o karate practitioner down anytime. Nothing new.
@manuelsvensson3399
@manuelsvensson3399 8 жыл бұрын
I understand your point, but you did not understand mine. By the way, in judo you can pin, choke or break anybody's arm. MMA is great, because incorporates all kind of techniques, but that's not what im talking about. My comment is more about the MMA fans rather than the fighting art itself.
