What a humble wholesome dude. I still remember when he was on TUF and was jokingly bragging about being the best wrestler in the house. When it was explained to him that the some of the unhinged lunatics in the house took offense to his joke, he went out of his way to apologize to them. He lived his life getting bullied for a disability, and when he beats a man in a public fight who claimed his deafness caused him to have a soft head, he still didn't rub it in his face. Also, like it or not, this is the still the only man with a win over Jon Jones.

@joey1324 translator is behind Ariel, doing sign language. He can read lips, so when Ariel says something like 'happy birthday' he can respond pretty quickly because it's easy to read.

The UFC was not a fan of Tito at the time and probably felt it would stir up a storyline. Tito coached Matt on TUF and they became close, but Tito said on an interview that he would use Matt being deaf as a way to beat him, and a lot of people were offended.

@imfunkasdruck Cody McKenzie dosen't officially hold the fastest submission since it was considered an exhibition bout. Oleg Taktarov hold the fastest submission. Oleg's submission was actually 9 seconds. McKenzie's was 17 seconds. So either way, Oleg was the true record holder.
