I fill my 5 gallon gas can completely, but that's because the only non-ethanol gas station close to me is a 60 miles round trip, lol. Also, I use it in my sno-thro, the riding mower, and usually keep 1 gallon separate for 2 cycle stuff. I find if I use the non-ethanol gas in everything that I don't even need to use fuel stabilizer for off-season storage.

Good to see you got it going. A stabilizer I'd recommend in Star Tron fuel treatment or Sta-Bil Marine. These should prevent this from happening to the carb. The Briggs and Stratton stuff you used should be good as well. These Ariens are great machines.

My local hardware store sold and repaired Ariens and had it in stock. I don't recall how much I paid for it. It was just before a snow storm so I was motivated to buy it. Unfortunately like many small town independent hardware stores the owner retired and they are closed.
