Here's a tip: you won't see mainland China in this game because Google Maps/streetview is banned there. If you see what looks like Chinese characters, you're likely on one of the islands around/near China (I've seen people land in Penghu county several times). Guessing around Singapore or Taiwan is a much better bet!

Hot tips I got from a speedrun (they're a great source of tips btw!): - The van has to follow the law obvs so you can know which side you're on from where the van is, you don't need other cars around. - Looking down and orienting north you can see which way the shadows are going so you can find your hemisphere instantly! Literally gets rid of 50% of the map most of the time! These combined make identifying the Uk and Australia/New Zealand REALLY easy
