An Inspiring track was written and sung by one of Samoa/New Zealander talented female music artist "Lole Usoallii" in 2007. Lest we forget those who have lost loved ones in the Tsunami and to all our Polynesian soldiers serving in the Middle East our thoughts and prayers go out to you all. Fa'amalosi.
There have been so many requests for this song, please show your support for our Polynesian musicians and buy this track from i tunes.
• SAMOA Journey
This track was also later used by Samoan New Zealander former professional boxer David Tua as his song entrance into the ring for his fight match against Shane Cameron on 31/10/2009. Link of his fight below.

Born into the culture, taken away and raised in another culture. Your song has brought out such strong feeling about Samoa. What I was taught the first 8 years of my life is stronger than the 42 years I have lived away from the culture. Visiting samoa after all these years has filled a place in my heart that could not be filled. The song completes my journey...Thank you for reminding me who I am...Thank you for taking me back HOME.

My first time to really hear the lyrics and the meaning of this song was June 1st, 2023. It just hit me deep and I could not stop the tears and Im like heart broken for the warriors, our ancestors who faught for our freedom to be independence back in the days of war. We were not here yet but, out history lives on and this song really hit me in core. As I think of our LORD JESUS GIVEN HIS LIFE FOR US ALL. FOR A SECOND CHANCE IN LIFE EVERLASTING. SO WE CAN LIVE FOR HIM.These men back then gave their lives so we can have a second chance. To be independence. May they RIP. THE MAU WARRIORS. GOD BLESS OUR PEOPLE. ❤❤❤😊

In 2009 Samoa was hit with a devastating tsunami. Around this time David Tua fought in NZ and this was his entrance song as a dedication to the ones we lost in Samoa. We wept when we heard the song esp the Samoan lyrics. Here is a rough translation of it: Samoa my beloved country I won't forget you during your time of need Stay strong in your spirit Keep building your canoe/striving for that dream Be strong. Keep the memory of our past (our ways/ our customs) Be respectful of our elders You're founded in God Don't ever take a step back My heart, Samoa e Young people return/(remember our ways) Rise up! To your full strength! Never be afraid of death! God will protect you! Jesus, He is the Shepherd! So be strong!

This song reminds me of my beautiful mother Tulia Valila Salanoa Malepeai Leota who passed away in 2008 anyways long story short she always ask that one day we should go back 2 Samoa and visit and start her own little bakery, if we had the money back then I would take my beautiful mother back home just so she could see it one more time, but god gave her her wings but I wasn't ready, and this song is so beautiful I play this every morning God bless the person who is singing this song and god bless Samoa

I want to thank you for the lyrics. My mother Play the song and would sing it before she passed away. I learn to sing the song but with out never seeing the word of the lyrics. This is helping me so much with learning how to read my grandfather and my mother's language. Thank you so much if I could spell thank you in Samoan I would put it on here. But I do know how to say it.
