Nothing better than neighbours that are noise blind... a family that directly lives across from my window like to tune up their motor bikes in the summer. You know, that time of year when you'd like to have your windows open? Yes, they're the super loud kind of bikes, how did you know. And their garage acts like a reflector aimed right at my house! Fun fact: Out at my Grandad's block of land, out in the bush, there are heaps of Lyre Birds (which, if you don't know what they are, can mimic sounds that they hear a lot pretty damn well). Nearby Grandad's block is a motorbike track thingy place, and so when you go to stay out there over night, you'll just hear at 3am what sounds like a chainsaw wielding madman out in the bush nearby. It's terrifying.

Not the bees! NOT THE BEES!! o_O /nick_cage That's such a cool story. I hadn't actually heard this one before. Makes me feel like a bad mythology geek. :( But seriously though, Dael, I have to agree with your theory that the "bees" Aristaeus found were more than likely flies. Buzz buzz buzzing around a cow's carcass that you sacrificed roughly a week ago? Probably flies. And another thing I have to comment on: Apollo really was kind of nasty to old Khaeron in the beginning there. "No, seriously old centaur dude, tell me all about what amazing stuff I'm about to do in, say, half an hour's time. I just want to bask in my own divine awesomeness." Your mythology vlogs are always excellent, Dael, so keep them up! :)

Hey, I'm wondering, can you include the origins of the stories if you have them in the future? Maybe in the description if it doesn't fit in the video itself? I'd be interested to know.
@MonarchsFactory9 жыл бұрын
When you say origin do you mean geographical or the source or..? I may be able to provide some of that info, certainly! Although with mythology it's often difficult just because the stories I end up telling are cobbled together versions from multiple compendiums which are themselves cobbled together from several plays/poems/epics/paintings/etc. -- the usual trickiness that comes from oral traditions that, in their hay day and beyond, spread and vary to an incredible degree.
@ZoharGil9 жыл бұрын
MonarchsFactory I mean specifically their sources, when you can. Of course a lot of them won't be just "The Iliad" or something, but it would be cool to get a bit of historical background on the story - what's the first documented version we have of it, is it from a song, a book, stuff like that.
