If nothing helps, try to put the chip in the fridge for an hour or two, but not the freezer! Or if you have freezingspray you can try that with caution. Sometimes it is just a very small crack in one of the conducting paths. Through the cold the material contracts and the broken paths will connect again. At least for a short while until the heat disconnects it again. If it works the data would be recoverable. I hope you could follow my mumbeling, sorry for my bad english :D

You could edit the audio you captured over footage of you looking through the many diagrams and flowcharts that i'm sure you have on this conspiracy! Also, fun fact: Golden Dog is what kid me used to call my good old Golden Retriever back in the day.
