Ark Fjordur Top 10 Base Locations You MUST Know About!

Fjordur is being released onto the official network on June 12th, 2022, so to help you guys get ready for the release, I have installed the mod and scoured the map to find you the 10 BEST locations for starter bases that could evolve into significant contenders for alpha base locations as your tribe expands and progresses. These are only a few of the many fantastic base locations on this map, I had a hard time choosing only 10! Once the map fully releases expect an update for this video to confirm what has and has not made it into the final version.
Fjordur is absolutely gorgeous, and I can't wait to add the final version to my cluster when it finally releases, I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone comes upon with! If you would like to check out this map on release consider joining the cluster, it is PvE with some PvP elements, including rotating legacy raid maps and a full battle royale city! Would you be willing to do a pve base location vid? There’s so many videos about pvp base locations and it’s mostly just caves and rat holes. Would love to see more of the more beautiful locations one could build. Thank you!

On theese small village houses can you put doors on them and make them a base?

The doors can’t be put on directly, but if you sink a foundation into the ground enough it makes it work, fence foundation I think was a little tall and it impedes my movement if I remember correctly… I didn’t try a regular door, but tested with a tek double door and it worked perfectly… Thanks for watching!

Imagine a house with a foundation that you cant build on since there isnt a foundation

IMO I really hope that the places to teleport arnt buildable cuz I think they would be insanely op

I agree it really could be… as it stands right now, I was able to build teleporters and bypass the portal room and rune requirement, but that still requires getting a teleporter there in the first place. With any luck, if they do make it so that you can build there, they randomize the spawn locations, but then there is still the possibility of getting trapped there lol having a large no build zone around the obelisks may help mitigate that to a degree but I’m really curious to see how they tackle this! I installed the mod version for steam, I couldn’t wait any longer to see it (I typically only play the Xbox version) lol some areas may change for the official version but I expect most areas to remain the same. Thanks for watching!

Not a problem! I’m not sure exactly when it was released but it has been out for quite a while, that being it said the map has received tons of changes over that time and will no doubt be getting some more for the official version, so there should still be some mystery out there lol

Every Bob and noob will build near that Green Ob and get wiped at random. It's a beautiful setup. It's only a great spot if you play offline.

I would have to agree that this spot has a few drawbacks for sure, but if built big enough and fast enough by a skilled tribe it could present itself as a decent PvP location... although a most likely very busy one lol It would also work great as a PvE location! Thanks for watching!

Hi - So 77, 37 or 37, 77 does not exist as a waterfall cave.... Unless I'm doing something wrong, that's not an actual spot??

Hey sorry this video was made prior to the official release using the mod as a reference, and I have checked most locations since the release but I will admit I have not confirmed that all of them have made it in to the final release… I will hop on tomorrow and double check to see if that one made it into the final version and get back to you.

Ok so I decided to check right away cause it was bugging me lol So the cave is still there but the waterfall is slightly different now, with a Viking statue directly in the center of it. If you enter the waterfall on either side of the base of the statue you will gain access to the small cave. As a bonus there should also be a rune on the statue for you there as well. Let me know if you are able to locate it, if not I can try to help further!

No problem at all! I wanna make sure I’m putting out reliable info, so as soon as I saw that I started gravitating towards my Xbox to go confirm lol and ya that is def a good little spot, and with the new statue it is actually a bit better now offering a couple choke points lol but it’s unfortunate it was occupied… hopefully you are able to find a good base spot still!

I want to play ark again but last time I was on two many people just transferre to the new server with all there stuff and take over until they stop that I'm not going to play online

That is understandable! I believe they have started restricting transfers into new maps, but I am unsure of the details on it. That being said though this map would still be fun to play solo! Thanks for watching!

I won’t lie to ya, my play time on official is pretty low… I came into the game late, and for various reasons didn’t much care for the official grind, but found my home on unofficial PvP and logged several thousands hours of gameplay there. I know most official pvp locations entail ratholes and artifact caves, but it’s hard to say which ones will make it into the final version so I specifically avoided including them. This video covers the locations that I felt had the best chance of making it to the final version with minimal change. I plan to make two new videos once the map finally releases, one for the PvP caves/ratholes and one for the more PvE locations. Thanks for watching!
