You actually don't need a Refining Forge to continue making fuel. Once you make at least one, you can mass produce fuel from the Industrial Forge. I'm not sure if the intention of your statement was to say that you simply need to make fuel in a Refining Forge first or not, but I figured that I'd clarify for anyone that may have been confused.

Hi Sir. what i meant was exactly what u said. It was more for guys who may feel that they would wana go for indus forge directly skipping refining forge. That is why I explained that u need to make gasoline in the refining forge first prior to turning up the indus forge for the very first time. I also missed out that u need the refining forge to make the ingots needed for making the indus forge. Thanks for ur comment though. Cheers!

You are the only person I've found that actually says how tall the industrial forge is! I have a little raft community in one of my worlds and I wasn't sure if the industrial forge would fit on my raft. Now I know there is no way I'm going to be fitting that in there, thank you!

Besides the fact that you need the refining forge to make gasoline, you also need the refining forge to make the 2500 metal ingots to make the industrial forge, and before that, you'll need an additional 35 metal ingots to make the fabricator to make the industrial forge, as well as the 5 metal ingots to make the smithy table to make the fabricator, to make the industrial forge. So in total, you'll need to mine up around 5080 metal ore to make the 2540 metal ingots required to make all of these things, assuming you are using an Ankylosaurus to smash the metal ore nodes, or a Doedicurus to smash the Tek benches, tables, or street lights in Extinction. Side note, scrap metal when smealted is converted from 1 scrap metal bundle (1 item worth of scrap metal) into 1 scrap metal ingot, where as metal ore is every 2 ore converted into 1 ingot, so you could try to hunt down Tek dinos (like Tek Parasaurs) and harvest 2540 worth of scrap metal bundles that way. Also, to save up on metal, you could tame up an equus (Which does not need a saddle to ride it, plus, it's a passive tame via use of rockkarrots) to knock out the Anky or Doedicurus, but you will need to make their respective saddles to ride them. You can though lead them to said nodes and position them to face towards said node, in which they could auto harvest said nodes, but sometimes it just doesn't work. with the Anky and Doedicurus saddles added into the equation, that will now be 5110 metal ore, as the anky saddle requires 10 metal ingots, and the doedic saddle requires 5 metal ingots, but it is possible to acquire the saddles in loot crates, which can come in various qualities.

Go to valguero and hide out on any cliffe crevasse and get an argy, 3 pts and an ankylosaurus. If you got a tribe, get one man to pick you up with the only and spam hit and the argy moved around the metal ores. I grinded an indie forge with 9 refining forges and then when we crafted it my fabricator switched off so we grinded again, this time making 16 refining forges then boom we got 2.5k metal and more. Now all we need is 400 poly, 400 oil, 250 crystal and we will get heavies and one auto and grind charcoal from crystal isles THEN tame up more pts and argies as they both died and boom we are on track to getting megatherium, then fighting bosses then bp farming then getting tek then becoming the alphas

On the island, its by killing the magenura in the redwoods cave. This is the best way to level up in ark, you will get to max rank after a couple of hours. On scorched earth its by constantly clearin out the wyvern trench of adult wyverns. Not nearly as effective as the redwoods cave but def your best option if you cant transfer your character back and forth. For the center, im not sure, mass producing rafts is always a good way to get quick xp as its 91 per at 1x, now 182 per at the standard 2x.

You also need the regular foges to smelt the 5,000 raw metal just to make the Indy forge. Plus, the Indy forge produces 1 charcoal a second. IMO, the Indy forge is vastly superior than the regular forge, like the Indy cooker vs the cooking pot.... It's worth the cost. Nice video, Diesel, new sub here :)

hi man thanks. Usually it is like that if u r unlucky. U have to level up and then join or form a bigger tribe. Raid them when they least expected it. But when it comes to PvP it is never ending because there are people who are online 24/7 not doing anything else but ark. So if u cannot match up with that and have other things in life, it is better for u to change the server or go to an unofficial server with higher rate. Trust me sometimes PvP can really suck up alot of ur capacity and nothing else in life seems to move :)

yes once u have gasoline u can do that but it depends on many other things. Like if u want such a large forge in ur base or do u really need the ingots that fast. Depends on gameplay style, pvp or pve. :)

Diesel Plays for a PvP situation its a good thing to have due to the way the community is going on ark i mainly play on Xbox and the community is toxic on official servers 90% of the time so you kinda need a way to produce high metal quantities to be able to defend yourself with shells because most players are unprepared to attack a triple shelled metal base XD

thanks for ur comments buddy. this video is something that has very direct information on like metal processing. Nothing else much I can show other than sparkpowder burning and I dont wana bore u guys with that. It also shows the height of the industrial forge which could come in handy for many guys. As for the intro I thought it was important to explain what I am testing out so people get the idea, rather than jumping straight into things and speaking really fast just to safe time. yes but u must start out with the refining forge for ur very first gasoline. if u put hide and oil in ur industrial forge u will not be able to light it up at all without gasoline. :D

well you need regular forges for 2500 metal ingots to craft the industrial forge in the first place too. not to mention the gas to operate the fabricator enough to make the forge, and the 400 polymer. The video implies, kinda strongly, that the industrial forge can't make gas, and it can, as well as charcoal. That said, I prefer not using an industrial forge... I just leave regular forges running overnight. Basically with the industrial forge you're paying 2500 ingots for the ability to lack foresight and 1 day ahead planning in your metal usage.

Oh I have built industrial forges purely to suit the aesthetic of base designs. They look very impressive, especially when lit. I've even stocked them with thousands of gas and left them turned on full time as a light source and decorative feature (one which also happens to smelt fairly well). But industrial forges don't really offer any significant mathematical benefit over regular forges. If I'm just powering through content, and it's not about style, if it's just a pure cost/benefit equation; then I'm perfectly happy with a dozen regular forges, always wood fired to keep up with gunpowder production of course.

The industrial forge, while it is faster, it's far less efficient due to the high resource costs, not only in crafting it but maintaining as well because of the gasoline requirements, plus you can't use wood so there's no charcoal for gunpowder.
