Ark: How To Build A Starter Base

I have been wanting to do this for some time now, this is a re imagined design of my popular started base I build back in 2019. I redesigned it using some of the new building pieces that was introduced in Wildcards Homestead update and made the build process slightly easier. Enjoy!

Ive always liked the way you show how to place pieces. slowly showing what to use, how to place them, speed up when placing the pieces yourself and then the look of how it should be once they are done before going on to the next set. I *LOVE* that and its greatly appreciated. specially for those of us that have to usually go back through videos cuz we got lost and try to figure out how something was done cuz we missed it. (to be more specific... me)

Make sure before you build this base design you make it in a flat area because the smallest incline can ruin the dino area

Honestly I wish I had this much creativity when building. And not just talking about this build but all your builds. I usually just put a wood block somewhere because I don't use much space with crafting tables.

I love following some of your builds on my single player and have dabbled on some multiplayer maps. I just did this build with a few exceptions on mobile. It’s tough to get everything to line up right and a couple of the building pieces (stairs and fence supports) are missing. I ended up using stone pipes for the supports on the front of the house where you put the supports and had to do a ladder instead of the multi tier stairs inside, but it’s still very satisfying to do something like that in block base world. I love your videos!

Idea to extend: at the far back behind the base in the dino pen, maybe we can add some more pillars, fence foundation, then a fence wall with wood roof ontop covering to the top of the first floor to make little flyer platform and underneath that could be like some tek para killing pen for metal so they don't escape.

Im playing ark survival ascended on ps5 but i cant seem to be able to place a wooden fence foundation on top of the wooden foundation to start the pillar section, is it normal? And i dont have the option to switch to blocks? Is it a ascended problem? Is it because i play on a modded server? Help please!! TIA

There were some times I just couldn’t change the snappoint and had to make do, sadly. Plus I built too close to something else and got a ‘cannot build here’ message halfway through the fence area, I wish these things weren’t the way they were but what can I do about it. Looks amazing, even with the modifications I was forced to make!

Nope it is a re design using homestead items some of the techniques used in the first build have been patched like overlapping ramps etc

Yes if you are building these you can either use a grappling hook or stand on top of a dino like a trike, rex, mammoth, or wyvern to reach them.
